Established in 1950, the Sardis Fire Department provides fire suppression, rescue, and emergency response services in Sardis, Mississippi.

We currently hold a Class 6 fire rating and are committed to continuous improvement for our community.

🚨 Rescue 1 Is Now In Service! 🚨
We’re proud to announce that Rescue 1 is officially in service! Through the coming weeks members will be mounting tools and fine tuning the layout of the truck.

A huge thank you to Station 51 Graphics and EEP for their excellent work and attention to detail in bringing this apparatus to life.

Most importantly, thank you to our community for your continued support of the Sardis Fire Department. Your support makes progress like this possible every day!

Rescue 1 update: wrap job is now complete, next step is to upgrade to new LED emergency lighting.

We are delighted to announce that the Sardis Fire Department has successfully secured approximately $25,000 in grant funding through the MOHS for the acquisition of new rescue airbags, bringing the total funding received through this program over the last two grant cycles to roughly $56,000. This allocation will facilitate the purchase of not only high-pressure bags but also low-pressure bags or “cushions”, thereby enhancing our rescue capabilities in conjunction with the acquisition of our new heavy rescue truck. We continually strive to provide the highest level of protection possible for the citizens we serve.

🚒 Sardis Volunteer Fire Department Announces New Officers 🚒

The Sardis Volunteer Fire Department has elected its officers for the upcoming year. Taking office at our October meeting will be:
• Fire Chief: Asa Moore
• Assistant Chief: Brian Boutwell
• Captain, Engine 8: Zach Johnson
• Captain, Engine 5: Walker James
• Secretary/Treasurer: Mike Jackson
As we continue to grow, new leadership roles will also be added. Once the Heavy Rescue truck and the Rapid Attack Vehicle are placed in service, captains will be appointed to oversee those units.

We’re proud of our team and thankful for the continued support of our community!
