⚠️Heads up to our weekend train commuters! 🚆

You may see delays between 10-20 minutes for Metrolink and Amtrak services from Friday, September 4, at 10 p.m. through Monday, September 7, at 5 a.m. All trains will be using one track through Irvine and the Irvine Station to accommodate the relocation of a utility gas line to support the Marine Way Undercrossing and Extension Project.

Once the gas line is relocated, it’s time for the big move!

Next week the Borrego Channel box will be moved into place below the railway to reroute the existing storm drain channel. In October, the larger concrete box will be pushed and installed below the railway to form the Marine Way undercrossing. This new undercrossing will provide access for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists and offer a new route and direct connection for commuters between the Great Park and the Spectrum area.

The new route will reduce travel distances, ease congestion, and help save time and fuel for drivers!

Stay tuned for more as we follow this exciting process!

The Great Park Gallery is officially open. And it’s getting loud.

“Grrrl Germs: Punk feminism goes viral, 1991–2026,” which debuted as part of the Daisy Chain Fields festival, traces the Riot Grrrl movement from its early ’90s roots to its global influence today, bringing together music, zines, flyers, activism, and DIY creativity from 35 years of punk feminist culture.

Turn up the listening stations, flip through the zines, explore the map, and see how a movement built on making your own rules continues to inspire.

Now on view at the Great Park Gallery.

The Great Park Gallery reopens September 3 featuring “Grrrl Germs: Punk feminism goes viral, 1991–2026” — the exhibition that debuted at the Daisy Chain Fields Music Festival August 29.

Spanning 35 years of Riot Grrrl, this exhibition brings together the music, zines, fliers, art and activism that helped a punk feminist movement spread far beyond its origins in the 1990s. The exhibition traces how Riot Grrrl created space for girls and women to make art, find their voices, and build something of their own.

“Grrrl Germs: Punk feminism goes viral, 1991–2026” will be on view through November 29 and is free and open to the public.

See you September 3!

The Great Park Gallery is open Thursday–Friday, noon–4 p.m. and Saturday–Sunday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
