Looks like our Balloon is taking a rain check! 🎈🌧️

The weather has put a damper on our plans! Due to rain and gusty winds, the Great Park Balloon will remain grounded for both morning and evening sessions today, Thursday, October 22.

We’re hoping for clearer skies and a chance to rise to the occasion Friday!

Experience a weekend of food, music, and culture at Mega Night Market Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day at Great Park Live.

🚂 Choo Choo Choose to pay attention to this important service interruption!⚠️

Train services through the City of Irvine will not be operational October 10–11 on the following train lines:
🚂 Metrolink Orange County line
🚂 Metrolink Inland Empire-Orange County line
🚂 Amtrak Pacific Surfliner line

Metrolink will complete maintenance and rehabilitation projects during this time.

In addition, the large Marine Way tunnel structure box will be pushed and installed beneath the railway to form the Marine Way undercrossing — providing a new route for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists traveling between the Great Park and Spectrum area.

Once complete in 2027, the Marine Way Undercrossing & Extension project will enhance safety for pedestrians and bicyclists, support walking and biking with new connections, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by cutting down on vehicle trips.

This may be our tastiest and easiest offering yet: Read books. Get a burger.

Now through November 14, children ages 4–12 who read five books or 300 minutes will earn an Achievement Award card, good for a free hamburger, cheeseburger, or grilled cheese at any any In-N-Out location.

Readers may earn up to three Achievement Award cards during the program.

Dial Up Fest brings the sounds of the late ’90s and early 2000s to Great Park Live Saturday, November 7. Doors open at noon.

Enjoy live performances by Nelly, Sugar Ray, Lit, Paul Wall, Unwritten Law, and more. The festival also features bars, food vendors and food trucks, shopping at Vendor Village, and photo opportunities.

All ages are welcome. Children 5 and younger receive free admission, and VIP packages are available.

10/3 UPDATE: Tonight’s Balloon flights scheduled from 7 to 10 p.m. have been cancelled due to windy conditions.

The US National Weather Service San Diego California has issued a wind advisory for tomorrow, October 3, beginning at 6 a.m. As a result, the Great Park Balloon will not be flying Saturday morning.

We will monitor wind conditions and provide an update on the afternoon session as needed. Check back here for updates.
