Family and Friends,

After 30+ years of incarceration my longtime friend. Howard James was finally set free. Serving an LWOP sentence he had no reason to hope. But he did hope and he built his faith, staying focused on the Lord's will.
In doing so, his walk proved to be an inspirational tool for myself, as well as many others on the yard. It was howard who calm the storm within me on several occasions as the tide began to rise. Help me wish this great warrior home and many well wishes too.
Many blessings james, so grateful to have you here brother!

As I was looking for some documents today, I came across this old and unfinished journal entry dated February 22, 2014, three weeks after my husband had been granted parole. What I wrote brought tears to my eyes as I mentioned how here we were ready to prepare for the next chapter in our lives. We talked about how my husband and I were antsy as we were in the waiting period for him to be home. At the end in Spanish I’m asking God to give me strength.

On the backside is the image of the Virgen of Guadalupe. The day that my husband went to board, I went to buy a candle as my mom, a warrior of faith was going to spend the day praying over him. As I walked in her house, I accidentally dropped the candle and it broke. I began to panic and my mom gently and lovingly picked up the candle (what was left of it). She gave me the image to save and spent all morning praying over Tyrone, nonstop!

Coming across this, humbles me to know at one point I was in this journey to bring my husband home as many families are. Do not lose hope! Make sure your loved one is doing everything possible for them to come home. Most importantly make sure they are healing!

Groundbreaking!
Kudos to all who stood in the pouring rain and under the glaring sun recently. Your hard work and determination has nearly paid off. The agreement, regardless of just how tentative it may be, attention has been gained. Unfortunately it has taken such measures to give children what they deserve, but in the words of former civic leaders..." By Any Means Necessary ".
Great job teachers, parents, union, and all those who are in support!

After six days, a tentative deal could end the teachers' union strike in Los Angeles. Here's a look at the numbers that got them here.

Hi everyone,
Here's a good read if you haven't already done so. This should bring some understanding to the confusion surrounding all the things currently shifting in our legal arena. Hopeful this is found useful.

Sentence enhancements helped pack California prisons. Unpacking them requires rolling back some enhancements.

Family and Friends,

With a heavy heart I share the news of this tragedy.
Joana is my colleague and a true inspiration for so many. Working alongside her I can't claim to have found a more courageous forgiving person.
After a wonderful day at Chawchilla she received this information. Many of us have experienced such events and are relating. I would pray that you find it in your hearts to support her and her family. No pressure and anything will help. In advance we thank you. Please pray for Juana's family.

On Thursday September 21, 2018; 26 year old Angel Giron passed away in a tragic car accident. For those of you who got to know Angel knew he was a wonderful soul. Today we ask for donations, of any amount, to help for the funeral expenses. In advance we thank you very much for your donations and/...
