310TH SUPPORT MAINTENANCE COMPANY ATTENDS JRTC

The ability to service, repair, and maintain equipment is paramount. Support Maintenance Companies (SMCs) are designed to keep combat and support units operational by repairing and returning equipment to service. The service they provide enables equipment to operate to its fullest capability and to continue the mission.

The 818 SMC has spent the past few weeks immersed in the Joint Readiness Training Center's (JRTC) premier training rotation at Ft Polk, LA. JRTC’s training events are built to put units to the test in an austere simulated combat environment. The 818 SMC was there to show out, demonstrating their capabilities in the southern heat of Louisiana.

310TH ATTENDS THE 110TH INDY 500

Members of the 310th ESC were honored to join service members from every branch participating in a lap around the track and marching down the speedway prior to the race start on Sunday, May 21st.

The event was truly an awesome experience, featuring aircraft displays from the 38th CAB and a motivating speech from the Director of the Army National Guard, Lieutenant General Jon Stubbs.

We're proud to have participated in the 110th running of the Indy 500!

310TH SENIOR LEADER SPEAKS AT MEMORIAL DAY EVENT

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – On Thursday, 21 May, 310th Expeditionary Sustainment Command’s Lt. Col. Matthew Hoover provided remarks as the honorary guest speaker at the annual Zimmer Biomet Veterans Resource Group Memorial Day wreath laying ceremony in Warsaw, Indiana.

Two Gold Star families were honored at the event. Mr. Gregory Thompson, father of Marine Cpl. Lance Thompson, as well as Ms. Saundra and Mr. Jim Sajak, parents of Army Spc. Eric Lembke provided remarks and thanked the resource group and the Warsaw community for honoring their fallen service members.

The annual event, put together by the Veterans resource group and Army (R) Lt. Col James Waldrop, included a three-volley salute to the fallen and the playing of Taps by the Warsaw Community High School Junior ROTC.

Following the ceremony, Lt. Col. Hoover recognized a member of the ROTC group with a challenge coin presented to Cadet Drake Shilling.

310TH HEADQUARTERS CONDUCTS MAY BATTLE ASSEMBLY

This past weekend, the 310th HHC’s Command Chief Warrant Officer 4 Aysu Cesmebasi joined by fellow warrants from the HHC, and Chief Warrant Officer 4 Andy Knote from U.S. Army Reserve held a warrant officer professional development session. The session provided one-on-one guidance on available pathways to continued service as a warrant officer to prospective Soldiers, as well as time spent with current warrants within the unit.

Additionally, in typical spring fashion, the weather in Indiana can change rapidly; however, it cooperated briefly, enabling Soldiers to take the Army fitness test.

As the Army shifts its focus toward large-scale combat operations against near-peer threats, equipment readiness has become a defining factor in battlefield success. Boating and Watercraft Safety 🛟

Lakes, rivers, and coastal waters offer great recreational opportunities, but boating requires preparation and respect for the water. Adhering to watercraft safety guidelines prevents drowning and serious mishaps.

⛵ Wear a Life Jacket:
Ensure every passenger has a U.S. Coast Guard-approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD) that fits properly. Most boating fatalities result from drowning, often involving victims not wearing PFDs.

🚣 Avoid Boating Under the Influence (BUI):
Alcohol affects judgment, vision, and coordination. The sun, wind, and the boat's motion can accelerate impairment.

🚤 Monitor Weather:
Summer storms roll in quickly. Check forecasts before departing and keep a weather radio handy to track changing conditions.

🛶 File a Float Plan:
Tell a responsible person your destination and expected return time. This ensures authorities are alerted immediately if you become overdue.

🛥️ Maintain Awareness:
Watch for other vessels, swimmers, and debris. Strictly adhere to all navigational rules and posted no-wake zones.
Equip Your Vessel: Ensure your craft is registered and carries the required gear, including flares, horns, and extinguishers. Confirm the operator is properly trained and licensed.

310TH TEAM BOLSTERS RELATIONSHIPS IN POLAND

Working with host nation allies in support of Saber Strike 2026, members of the 310th ESC HHC shared best practices working alongside the Polish military with the NATO Force Integration Unit - Poland (NFIU-POL).

These relationships are valued and crucial to strengthening interoperability and deterrence on the eastern flank.
