On Monday, May 18th our beloved manager and friend Rick Moser passed away suddenly. To say we are devastated is an understatement. Rick has been a mentor and friend to countless numbers of people throughout his life. To many of us, he was more than that; he was family. His vision and drive are what have made this theater great for so many years. The loss we feel as a theater and as a community is profound.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his children and family during this difficult time.
There will be a Celebration of Life for all who wish to attend at our theater on Saturday, May 23rd from 9:30 – 11:00a.m.

MAILBOX UPDATE.
With help from some witnesses, tips and help from some locals, I have figured out who was vandalizing the mailboxes. I have spoken to their parents and I believe the issue has been rectified. Thank you to those that reached out. It is our town and I appreciate the help.

I’m sad that I have to send out this notice up here in our beautiful small town. The mailboxes across from Chevron are still being vandalized. I’m sure it’s a couple of kids, but this should not happen up here.

We have received complaints in the past about the mailboxes being vandalized. I posted about it back in November. Unfortunately, not only has it not stopped, it has gotten worse. A few residents gave me some tips and information back in November. I wasn’t able to obtain enough proof to act on the information provided.

I have no control over the USPS. They are threatening to end mail service in AV. Residents would be forced to travel to Hurricane to pick up their mail. If this happens, there is nothing I can do to help.

I am going to look into getting cameras, but the town should not have to do that. This is ridiculous. Please talk to your kids. I made the warning back in November.

Please be advised, tampering with mail is a federal crime. Destruction of town property is also a crime. If your kids are caught doing this, we will press charges, and the parents will be responsible for damages.

It seems we have a few bad kids in our area. Parents, please talk to your kids, even if you don’t think it is your kids. Maybe they have seen something. This is our town. We must all do what we can to protect it. If the mail stops delivering to these boxes, everyone suffers.

If anyone knows something or sees someone, please let me know.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Thank you,

--

Best Regards
Mike Farrar

We want to extend a sincere thank you to Chief Gross and our volunteer fire department for their dedication to the safety of our community.

In the face of the tragedy on Highway 59 today, they showed incredible courage, compassion, and professionalism. They were there when it mattered most, serving, protecting, and supporting those involved with strength.

We are deeply grateful for the sacrifices you make, often without recognition. Please know your community sees you, appreciates you, and stands behind you.

Thank you for all that you do. ❤️

The dog is no longer lost. Thank you to everyone who helped.

There is a friendly loose dog at the town park, currently roaming the area. If you recognize him or know who he belongs to, please help reunite him with his owner and get him safely home. Thank you for your help!
