From the National Weather Service in State College:

• Summerlike pattern brings daily chances for severe thunderstorms with damaging winds being the main hazard. The threat for severe storms is highest during the afternoon and evening hours on Thursday and Friday.

• Isolated instances of flash flooding possible throughout the end of the week.

• Hot temperatures and high humidity will bring an increased risk for heat-related illnesses Thursday and Friday.
