This week, personnel are participating in critical training exercises at Jaycee's Haunted House focused on firefighter self-survival and rapid intervention techniques. These training exercises are vital due to the inherent risks associated with structural fires and our collaborative efforts with mutual aid partners. We are thankful for the partnership and the use of the Jaycee's facility courtesy of the City of Riverside.

Carbon monoxide is often called the invisible killer because you can’t see it, smell it, or taste it.
If you are without power due, take extra precautions when heating your home. Improper use of fuel-burning equipment can cause carbon monoxide to build up quickly.
Make sure carbon monoxide alarms are installed and working, and never use generators, grills, or fuel-burning devices indoors or in garages.

💧 Everyday Actions to Keep Water Runoff Clean 🌎

When it rains, water flows over streets, sidewalks, and yards—carrying pollutants straight into our streams and rivers. The good news? Small daily actions make a big difference!

Here’s how you can help keep runoff clean:

✅ Pick up pet waste
✅ Sweep driveways and sidewalks instead of hosing them down
✅ Properly dispose of motor oil, paint, and chemicals
✅ Limit fertilizer use and never apply before heavy rain
✅ Keep grass clippings and leaves out of storm drains
✅ Wash your car at a commercial car wash or on grass/gravel
✅ Report clogged or damaged storm drains to your local municipality

Only rain in the storm drain! 🌧️

Clean water starts with all of us—right at home.
