It's been an awesome weekend in Lansing for the MASB Leadership Conference! I've been busy learning and networking but I've taken a few moments throughout each day to enjoy the moment, as well! I hope to use what I've learned this weekend for many more years of service on the Howell Public Schools Board of Education! Don't forget to vote November 5th!

A little bit about me: I’m running for re-election to the Howell Board of Education! I’d like to continue the work that my fellow board members and I have started. We have been successful in many ways over the past 3.5 years that I have been on the board. Our work has included approving important safety and mental health initiatives and passing a millage to improve our buildings and grounds. I’ve been an educator for Dexter Community Schools for 12 years and teaching is my passion. My education experience gives me a perspective that is important to have at the board table. My son is starting 4th grade this year and I’d like the opportunity to serve the district and continue to help Howell to improve and to thrive during his time in the district and beyond.

Join us and Livingston ESA for the annual Backpacks for Kids distribution on Thursday, August 8, from 4-6 p.m. at the Howell High School 10-12 Building in the south parking lot. We will have backpacks with school supplies, free books from The Highlander Reading Express, explore our Community Resource Fair, and more!
