One year ago, on August 13, 2024, Southeast Democrats Network hosted a powerful TX-18 Congressional Forum at Young Women's College Prep, moderated by Fox 26 and the Houston Defender. It was a night full of energy, ideas, and community voices.
Now, less than a year later—and after the heartbreaking loss of Congressman Sylvester Turner—we're getting ready to do it again. This time, we move forward in his honor, committed to informed leadership and strong voter engagement.
