I met Doc exactly one year ago when I found BLU on MLK blvd close to death. Immediately I fell in love with his character, tenacity and PASSION for the animals. Please read the full story on Blu's bio.
It took a heart attack last week at 83 to stop him working! He will undergo triple bypass tomorrow (4/28). PLEASE PLEASE get better fast Doc. You have so many people who look up to and need your continued inspiration. I for one need to hear ALL of your stories. I feel grateful to have met some true "white-hearts" at the clinic. All who would do whatever it takes "for the animals" and especially for Doc who has unconditionally taken in and saved so many. So many dropped on his doorstep, he stitched up, mended bones, built up and brought back to health. BLU has been there for a YEAR and is a happy healthy dog un-recognizable from day one. Pixie was there when blu arrived which makes Jack, who arrived several months ago, a newcomer!
It's time for US to take care of Doc and "his boarders".
Please, if you are reading this, and already wishing you could help, please send this page to everyone you know and ask them to do likewise.
Doc, I know you dislike "thank yous" and I know there isn't a single live you saved because you expected one, but.... I am saying it anyway, you are truly amazing, the very meaning of humble, so
THANK YOU.......
Don't worry, everyone is doing their best and they WILL find homes...
