As far as I know this is our first documented Giant Swallowtail lifecycle in our gardens. I added Rue into the garden last year and then love it.

I already have some Monarch caterpillars on my newly emerging milkweeds, but it looks like the migration is coming this way.

This is the weekend we've been working so hard for. I'll post pics from the Garden Oaks 2016 Home & Garden Tour to this page and update what's blooming in the garden. I can't wait to see what it is going to become.....we just need a little bit more sun to dry it out more for tomorrow and Sunday.

The owner’s background in wildlife and environmental sciences quickly led the butterfly garden to expand to wildscape gardening for all wildlife, with native and well adapted plants. By providing year-round, adequate and varied food, water, shelter and space, Abigail’s Garden attracts and supports an abundance of urban wildlife, all on a 1/3-acre lot. Abigail’s Garden has been through a major overhaul this past winter to better provide for the wildlife, and allows visitors to see that a wildscape garden can be thoughtfully designed, planted and maintained in a residential setting.
