The type of ID you need to board a plane? Not good enough to vote."

That's Rep. Teresa Leger Fernández's blunt assessment of the SAVE America Act, which just passed the House .

The reality check: Under this bill, a REAL ID—the same one you use to fly—wouldn't count for voter registration unless paired with a birth certificate or passport . Tribal IDs? Not valid . Military IDs? Also not enough .

The numbers worth knowing:
📊 21 million voting-age citizens don't have ready access to a passport or birth certificate
📊 69 million women have changed their last names—their birth certificates no longer match their IDs
📊 Half of Americans don't have a passport
📊 Rural voters could drive 4-5 hours round trip just to register in person

The argument: Supporters say requiring proof of citizenship is common sense—70% of voters actually support voter ID requirements . Democrats call this "saving Republicans' electoral butts, not saving our elections" .

So who's right?

Bruh, I had a f---ing day… So the na I punched died bruh."*

That’s what 21-year-old Nassadir Tate posted on Instagram the day after he was arrested .

The incident: Tate allegedly punched a 55-year-old man on the C/E platform at 34th Street-Penn Station Saturday night after they bumped into each other . The victim was conscious for about five minutes, walked around, even used his phone—then collapsed . He died at the hospital .

The charge: Third-degree assault. A misdemeanor .

The outcome: Tate was given a desk appearance ticket and released the same day . His next court date is April 1 . No bail. No detention.

Why? The medical examiner hasn't determined the official cause of death yet. The victim reportedly had a history of cardiac issues . Prosecutors are waiting to see if the punch actually killed him or if something else did .

The reaction: His father says Tate is a "gentle kid" who acted in self-defense . Meanwhile, New Yorkers are asking how a man who allegedly killed someone on a crowded subway platform walks free the next day.

The reality: If the autopsy confirms the punch caused his death, charges could be upgraded . For now, under New York law, a misdemeanor ticket is all prosecutors could file.

👇 Does the punishment fit the alleged crime? Or does this make you feel less safe?

STATEHOOD, #51, ANYONE?" — Trump, after Venezuela's baseball team beat the U.S. in the World Baseball Classic final .

Oh, and we also captured their former president in January. He's currently in Brooklyn facing trial .

Just another Tuesday in 2026. 🇺🇸

The Facts (Verified):

· Trump posted about Venezuela becoming the 51st state after their WBC semifinal win over Italy (March 16) and again after their championship victory over the U.S. (March 17)
· U.S. forces captured Nicolás Maduro on January 3, 2026, in Operation "Absolute Resolve"
· Maduro is in Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center facing narco-terrorism charges
· The U.S. has since signed oil and gold deals with Venezuela's interim government
· Secretary Rubio outlined a three-phase plan for Venezuela: stabilization, recovery, and political transition (no timeline for elections)
· This is NOT a formal proposal to make Venezuela a U.S. state—it's presidential rhetoric

"I don't know who feels safe in this country except for the white supremacists because I specifically as a Black woman, definitely don't feel safe."

— Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX)

The context that matters: This statement didn't come out of nowhere. Just days earlier, a man on her security team was shot and killed by Dallas SWAT after a standoff—someone who had passed vetting protocols but was later revealed to have a criminal history .

Crockett has been vocal for months about feeling targeted. In January, she responded to Charlie Kirk's "great replacement" comments by calling white supremacy a "cancer" and a "real issue" in America . She's spoken about the rising threats against members of Congress, the normalization of dehumanizing rhetoric, and what she calls "modern-day slave patrols" under current immigration enforcement .

"When you're Black in America, you learn early that safety isn't guaranteed—not by systems, not by institutions, and certainly not by those sworn to protect," she's said.

After her security guard's death, she mourned publicly: "As a former public defender, I've always believed people are more than the worst thing they've ever done. I believe in redemption. The man we knew showed up with respect, care, and commitment to protecting others" .

Yet she also warned: "This situation reiterates the need for Capitol Police to provide security for members of Congress, especially under this administration's new normal of inciting attacks on those who dare to speak out" .

The question isn't whether she feels safe. It's why so many don't.

👇 Do you understand why she feels this way? 🇺🇸

🇲🇻 THE MALDIVES JUST BANNED ISRAELI PASSPORTS – AND THIS COULD CHANGE EVERYTHING

The Indian Ocean paradise, known for overwater bungalows and turquoise lagoons, has joined a growing list of nations refusing entry to Israeli passport holders. But here's why this one hits differently.

The numbers tell the story:
✈️ Israeli tourist arrivals in the Maldives dropped from 15,748 (2022) → 10,966 (2023) → just 1,435 (2024)
📉 That's a 90% decline in two years

The ban was unanimous – all 87 parliament members voted YES after a bill sat dormant for 308 days while the tourism industry warned of economic damage . Tourism contributes roughly 21% to Maldives' GDP . They passed it anyway.

The rationale from President Muizzu's office:
"Resolute solidarity with the Palestinian cause" and response to "ongoing atrocities and acts of genocide committed by Israel against the Palestinian people" .

The catch: Israeli citizens with dual nationality can still enter using their second passport – immigration officials admit they can't verify dual citizenship at border control .

The bigger picture: The Maldives now joins 12 other nations with similar restrictions:
🇩🇿 Algeria | 🇧🇩 Bangladesh | 🇧🇳 Brunei | 🇮🇷 Iran | 🇮🇶 Iraq | 🇰🇼 Kuwait | 🇱🇧 Lebanon | 🇱🇾 Libya | 🇵🇰 Pakistan | 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia | 🇸🇾 Syria | 🇾🇪 Yemen

The question now: Will other tourism-dependent nations follow this precedent despite the economic risk?

BREAKING: TOP TRUMP OFFICIAL RESIGNS, ACCUSES ISRAEL OF 'MANIPULATING' US INTO IRAN WAR

Joe Kent, Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, just dropped a bombshell resignation letter—and it's sending shockwaves through Washington.

The letter:
✍️ "I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran"
✍️ "Iran posed NO imminent threat to our nation"
✍️ "We started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby"
✍️ "High-ranking Israeli officials deployed a misinformation campaign to deceive you"
✍️ "This is the same tactic used to draw us into the disastrous Iraq war"

The response:
🗣️ Trump: "Very weak on security... it's a good thing he's out"
🗣️ 43 minutes after Kent resigned, Netanyahu posted a video celebrating the alliance
🗣️ Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA): "On this point, he is right"

The man behind the letter:
✅ 20-year Army veteran, 11 combat deployments
✅ Former CIA officer
✅ His first wife was killed by ISIS in Syria in 2019
✅ Gold Star spouse who knows the cost of war

Kent ended with a plea to Trump: "You can reverse course and chart a new path... You hold the cards."

The question: When a lifelong soldier and Trump appointee says we were manipulated into war—do we listen?

"🇺🇸 IMMIGRANT HOUSING DEBATE HEATS UP 🇺🇸

An immigrant mother with four children is speaking out about conditions in temporary housing:

🗣️ "This is a place for animals. Not for human beings."

She says the government should provide her family with a larger, free home while they wait for permanent status.

The debate:
✅ Supporters say basic dignity should be guaranteed regardless of status
❌ Critics say many American families struggle with housing and this crosses a line

Where do you stand?

"Chuck, buying an AR-15 requires a clean background check, waiting periods in many states, and complying with 100+ federal and state gun laws—while anyone can register to vote with zero ID in places like New York, often same-day, with no verification of citizenship or residency."

Let's compare:

🔫 AR-15 purchase requirements :

· Federal background check (NICS)
· ATF Form 4473 under penalty of perjury
· Minimum age 18-21 depending on state
· Waiting periods in many states
· State-specific assault weapon bans
· Must purchase from licensed FFL dealer

🗳️ Voter registration in states like New York :

· No ID required to vote
· Same-day registration available
· No citizenship verification at polls
· Just a signature under penalty of perjury

The SAVE Act simply demands proof you're a U.S. citizen to vote.

That's not "harder than buying a gun." That's basic election integrity.

The fear isn't of the AR-15. It's of secure elections. 🇺🇸

👇 Drop a 🔫 for gun rights, 🗳️ for voter ID—or 👀 if you support both

"He's always been pretty pathetic. It pains me, as a Minnesotan, that's the person we have in the administration."

— Rep. Ilhan Omar, on Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth

During a Capitol Hill interview Tuesday, Omar didn't hold back when asked about Hegseth's press conferences on the Iran war, calling him "an embarrassment on the national and international stage" and saying she hopes he gets replaced .

The context: Hegseth has faced growing criticism from Democrats and national security experts over his handling of military policy and rhetoric amid the ongoing Iran conflict . Just last week, he downplayed media coverage of six American soldiers killed in the war, accusing the press of focusing on deaths to make Trump "look bad" .

Rep. Eugene Vindman, a 25-year Army veteran, called Hegseth's comments "disgusting and despicable," saying the soldiers' sacrifice deserved honor, not political spin .

👇 Do you agree with Omar's assessment? 🇺🇸

Nine-year-old Tiernan McCready was walking home from football in Derry when he saw something that didn't feel right.

Nearby, three men were trying to force an 18-year-old girl into a van.

Most people would have frozen in fear. Tiernan didn't.

Even though he was scared, the young boy started shouting and ran closer to the scene, drawing attention to what was happening. The sudden noise and interruption caused the men to panic and flee.

The girl was able to escape. Tiernan then helped her get to safety and alerted his mother so police could be called .

The PSNI's response:

"Most ADULTS would be paralysed in shock, confusion or fear and fail to act till it was too late. Tiernan reacted instantly and shouted at the males and led the girl away to safety" .

"This could have been the start of a potentially serious and harrowing crime. That girl could have been my child, my sister, your child, your family member" .

Officers presented Tiernan with a PSNI Badge of Honour—and some Maltesers—but acknowledged that "this doesn't go anywhere near to paying off the debt our community owes this boy" .

Despite the attention, the young hero remained humble and said he hopes to become a police officer one day so he can continue helping people.

Sometimes the biggest acts of courage come from the smallest heroes. 🕊️

🇺🇸 TRIBE STEPS UP WHERE OTHERS FOLLOW: Poarch Band Donates $184K for Tornado Funeral Expenses

While Alabama families grieve lovedones lost to devastating tornadoes, the Poarch Band of Creek Indians just showed what real community looks like.

The gift:
💰 $184,000 to cover funeral expenses for tornado victims
🤝 Rooted in Indigenous values of kinship and responsibility
🌪️ Comes after severe storms tore through multiple Alabama counties

The context:
The March 12 tornado caused significant damage on the Poarch Creek Reservation itself—destroying part of their gym, snapping power poles, and uprooting trees . Yet they still stepped up to help others.

Why it matters:
In moments of unimaginable grief, this act lifts a heavy burden from families already struggling with loss. It's a reminder that compassion crosses all boundaries.

The tribe's Burial Assistance Program, established in their own laws, ensures every member receives an honorable burial . Now they're extending that dignity to their neighbors.

👇 Share to honor this act of kindness. 🙏
