The real horror story? What Texas lawmakers are putting students through — book bans, discriminatory dress codes, curricular censorship, and state-sponsored religion. 😵‍💫

That’s why the Texas Education Advocacy Series (TEAS) exists.

TEAS is a free training program for Texans who want to organize, advocate, and take action for students and public education. Participants will gain practical skills they can use right away, including public testimony prep, digital organizing, research strategies, media training, and more.

On May 14, Edward Busby Jr. became the 600th person executed by Texas since 1982 — the most of any state. Experts agreed that Edward had an intellectual disability and should have been exempt from the death penalty.

No one should be killed by the state. The time to end the racist, unjust, and cruel death penalty is NOW.

Edward Busby was executed by lethal injection Thursday, reinforcing Texas’ position as the nation's leader in capital punishment.

An Austin high school student and asylum-seeker was released from ICE detention in time for his graduation.

He should never have been detained in the first place.

The Austin high school student, detained by ICE earlier this month while driving home from work and seeking asylum, is back home in time for graduation.
