Harris County Sheriff's Office Junior Mounted Posse The Junior Mounted Posse was established by Sheriff Buster Kern as goodwill ambassadors for the Sheriff's Office.

During the year, the kids practice their horsemanship, as well as citizenship, through weekly practices, monthly rodeo performances, pony express relay rides, parades and special assignments with the Sheriff's Office.
