Citizen Advisory: Emergency Notification System | Statewide Test ⚠️📲

The Deer Park Office of Emergency Management, alongside the Texas Division of Emergency Management, will participate in a statewide test of our mass notification system on Thursday, April 2nd, 2026, at 10:00 AM.

Please note that this drill is separate from our routine weekly siren test, which will still take place every Saturday at 12:00 PM.

What to Expect:
• Notifications: Residents enrolled in Everbridge will receive a test alert via text, email, and phone call.
• No Action Needed: This is strictly a simulation to ensure system readiness; no emergency response is required from the public.

Citizen Advisory: Parade - Road Closure Information
The Deer Park Fastpitch Association softball parade takes place on Saturday, February 7th.
Center Street will be closed between East Ninth Street and West X Street just prior to 9am for approximately 1 hour.
The following roads will also be impacted temporarily:
· East Ninth Street between Deer Park Junior High and Center Street.
· West X Street between Center Street and the 500 block of West X Street at the softball fields.

8:20 AM Sunday: Just because precipitation has stopped falling from the sky does NOT mean that the threat for icy roads has ended in the Houston metro! Here's a zoomed in look at the current position of the freezing line across the Houston metro, which will sag southeastward more through the morning. Temperatures have dropped into the 20s across western Harris County, which will cause concerns for remaining water on roadways to freeze, especially bridges and overpasses.
