The Buzbee Law Firm, along with co-counsel AVA Law Group and New York local counsel Curis Law, is filing seven cases today alleging aggravated sexual assault, sexual abuse, and sexual exploitation against Sean “Diddy” Combs and those entities with whom he has been affiliated. Several other individuals are referenced in the case filings but are not at this time formerly named as defendants. The cases are being brought for conduct that occurred as far back as the year 2000, but most of the events described occurred in the year 2022. The egregious conduct set out in the lawsuits occurred in New York, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. Four of the alleged victims in these cases are male, three are female. One alleged victim was seventeen at the time of the alleged occurrence, another was only thirteen. We will let the allegations in the filed complaints speak for themselves, and will work to see that justice is done. We expect to be filing cases weekly naming Mr. Combs and others as defendants as we continue to gather evidence and prepare the filings.

The Buzbee Law Firm, along with co-counsel AVA Law Group and New York local counsel Curis Law, is filing six cases this week alleging aggravated sexual assault, sexual abuse, and sexual exploitation against Sean “Diddy” Combs and those entities with whom he has been affiliated, to include in one case Macy’s department store, and in another Marriott Hotels. The cases are being brought for conduct that occurred over a span beginning in 1995, through 2021. All of the events occurred in New York and are being filed pursuant to the Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act. Three of the alleged victims in these cases are male, three are female. One was sixteen at the time of the alleged occurrences. We will let the allegations in the filed complaints speak for themselves, and will work to see that justice is done. We expect to be filing many more cases over the next several weeks naming Mr. Combs and others as defendants as we continue to gather evidence and prepare the filings.

We have some fabulous and stellar restaurants here in Houston, but if you ask me what one of my absolute favorite things to eat is here, you may be surprised that it isn’t a Michelin quality meal at a fancy restaurant out on the town. It’s instead this meal right here. These are La Michoacana marinated short ribs. You can get them at your local La Michoacana meat market. You only need to use garlic salt and pepper, and cook them well-done in a skillet; it only takes a minute or two on both sides. Warm up a good tortilla, add cilantro, fresh chopped onions (or pico de gallo) and jalapeños, drop your favorite Mexican hot sauce on it, and enjoy. There is hardly anything better.

Lamichoacana has been a client of mine for many years. The owner, Rafael Ortega, is an immigrant from Lamichoacana Mexico. He is a butcher with a 9th grade education. He came with his family to Houston in 1986 and opened his first store. More than 200 stores later he is still selling the best marinated meats you can get in the United States. Emphatically recommend!

The Buzbee Law Firm has been retained by several families impacted by this horrific incident. Hydrogen Sulfide is deadly. Plant work is dangerous. God bless the men and women, and their families, who work at these plants. Pray for those injured and killed in this horrible accident.

Our latest foster dog, Coco, is looking for a home. Are you or anyone you know looking for a sweet dog? Are you willing to adopt this sweet girl and give her the life she deserves? I promise that if you do she will return the favor to you and then some! Below is a bio on Coco written by Frances. I would greatly appreciate it if you would you share this post so we can find this girl a home.

🐾 Coco is incredibly resilient, sweet, loving and forgiving. There are very few dogs that would have experienced what Coco has but yet has maintained the most loving personality and isn’t resentful to humans or other dogs at all. In fact, she loves every human big or small and loves her foster siblings. Coco does not have a mean bone in her body and trusts every human she meets despite her background. Coco was dumped at a shelter in Louisiana in June after her elderly owner died. It’s obvious from her condition that the owner had been unable to care for her for quite awhile. Coco has glaucoma and dry eye which has caused her to lose most of her sight in one eye but she doesn’t let that hold her back! Coco enjoys everything life has to offer like good food, playing with toys, nudging someone’s hand to get pets, car rides and really just anything with humans! In addition to her being almost blind in one eye, Coco has very little hearing, although surprisingly she is still very aware of all that’s going on. Coco had to have TECA surgery since being in our care because of how bad her ears were infected. This poor dog must have been living with so much pain as her doctor said her ears were some of the worst she had seen. Coco has now had her surgery and is feeling so much better and ready to find a good home!

Bottom line: Coco is a special dog and will bring a lot of joy to whomever adopts her. She could be your new best friend. Can you give Coco a home?

One year ago today, I served as lead counsel defending the Attorney General in the first impeachment case of a Texas state-wide official in more than 100 years. The contentious and widely publicized case ended, as it should have, with a “not guilty” verdict on all counts. Much has been said and written about this trial, by folks from every position on the political spectrum. Many have acted like they know why decisions were made or certain arguments were made or positions were taken. But, the truth is, only a few do and not one of them has spoken. Ironically, the ones who have talked the most about this trial probably know the least about it, and know nothing about the strategy and tactics. And it will stay that way. Bottom line: I’m super proud of the result. Contrary to what some may believe, the outcome certainly was not certain.
