Due to the continued winter weather, including freezing rain and extremely low temperatures for our area, County Judge Lina Hidalgo has extended the closure of County buildings through Tuesday, February 16. Thus, the Pretrial Services offices at 102 San Jacinto and in the Criminal Justice Center at 1201 Franklin will be closed to the public through Tuesday.

With the County Judge's weather-related decision to close Harris County buildings on Monday, February 15, the Pretrial Services offices at 102 San Jacinto and in the Criminal Justice Center at 1201 Franklin will be closed to the public. Although no decision has been announced for Tuesday, February 16, please stay tuned to local news for further information.

The Harris County Criminal Justice Center has reopened to the public. Pretrial Services' Defendant Monitoring Division (Pretrial Supervision) office located at 102 San Jacinto is open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday, and from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Because the Harris County Criminal Justice Center, Civil Justice Center, and the Juvenile Justice Center will be closed on Fridays until further notice, Pretrial Services' Defendant Monitoring Division (Pretrial Supervision) office located at 102 San Jacinto will be open to the public this week from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, and until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. It will be closed on Fridays until further notice.

Beginning next week (the week of March 29, 2020), the Defendant Monitoring Division will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, and from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Again, it will remain closed on Fridays until further notice.

Beginning on March 30, 2020, the Defendant Monitoring Division (Pretrial Supervision) office located at 102 San Jacinto will be open to the public from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The Defendant Monitoring Division (DMD) operating hours will be affected by the County holidays occurring between now and early January. The DMD will be open to the public from 7:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, except for upcoming schedule changes as follows:

SAT, Nov 30 - Open from 7:00am to 3:00pm

MON, Dec 23 - Open from 7:00am to 11:00am

THU, Dec 26 through FRI, Dec 27 - 7:00am to 5:00pm

WED, Jan 1 - Closed for County Holiday

In the immediate aftermath of Tropical Storm Imelda:

The Harris County Criminal Courts (1 through 16) have cancelled bond dockets set for Friday, September 20, 2019. All cases set on the Friday docket with a defendants in custody will proceed as normal. If you have questions, please contact the court in which your case is pending.

The Civil Criminal, Juvenile and Family District Courts' dockets have been cancelled for Friday, September 20, 2019. Litigants set for September 20, 2019 need to contact their respective courts to reschedule.

Jury call for Friday, September 20, 2019 has been cancelled and individuals set for that date do not need to reschedule. However, jurors who are currently in trial need to contact their respective courts for instructions regarding the resumption of trial.

Harris County Pretrial Services' Defendant Monitoring Division (DMD) will be changing its operating hours in April 2019. The last Sunday that it will be open to the public will be April 14. Beginning Monday, April 15, it will be open to the public Monday through Friday (excluding County holidays) from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Pretrial Services' Defendant Monitoring Division (DMD) will be closed on Monday, January 21, 2019, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

All defendants approved for release on a personal bond on Friday, January 18, 2019 or Saturday, January 19, 2019 will be instructed to report to the DMD on Sunday, January 20, 2019.

All defendants approved for release on a personal bond on Sunday, January 20, 2019 or Monday, January 21, 2019, will be instructed to report to the DMD on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.

Normal reporting instructions will resume on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.
