Danyahel (Danny) Norris is an educator, with the training of a lawyer, an engineer, and a librarian. He is the owner and partner of Norris & Norris, Attorneys and Counselors of Law. Along with lecturing for various organizations, he served as an Instructor of Legal Research at Thurgood Marshall School of Law for more than a decade, and also served as an Associate Director for several years. He is committed to service, which is most evident through his activity in the bar communities. He is a past President of the Houston Lawyers Association and a member of the Houston Bar Association. In the state-wide bar community, he is a Past Chair of the African-American Lawyers Section for the State Bar of Texas. Nationally, he is a member of various national bar organizations, including the American Bar Association and the National Bar Association. He also has published several articles on a variety of topics covering both international and domestic issues. Lastly, he is a family man, with a wife of more than fourteen years, who is also his law partner, and two wonderful children, ages 14 and 11.
