The Harris County Tax Office is responsible for the collection of property taxes, vehicle registration and title services.

The Tax Office is headed by Tax Assessor-Collector, Ann Harris Bennett.

All Harris County Tax Office branches will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

We honor the generations of workers who fought for safer workplaces, fair wages, and better opportunities for all of us.

We will reopen for regular business hours on Tuesday, September 8. You can still access many services online 24/7 at hctax.net.

From all of us at the Tax Office, we hope you have a safe and well-deserved Labor Day.

Assessor Ramirez and County Clerk Hudspeth are in Round Rock this week for the 44th Annual Election Law Seminar, joining election officials from across Texas ahead of the November Election.

They also had the chance to meet Texas Secretary of State Robert S. Howden and exchange ideas on how we serve voters here in Harris County.

The Tax Office is always learning and growing to better serve you.
