I would be honored to be your Alderman.

A few days ago, I was asked, “Why are you qualified to be an Alderman?” by a Meadows Place resident. This is a really important question. Most people ask why I am running. That is simple, I love Meadows Place. I have called it home for 30 years. I was raised here, and in turn, I am raising my family here. I think like all of my fellow neighbors, I want it to be the best it can be.

This passion has led me to be actively involved in our community. I have served on the EDC board for the last two years. I was part of the selection committee for our new code enforcement officer, as well as the selection committee for our new city administrator, both of whom have a huge impact on our city. I am currently leading the fundraising efforts for our local Cub Scout troop, and I serve on the board of our swim team, leading all of our volunteer efforts.

One of my proudest moments was playing a critical role to save Meadows Elementary. Mayor Jessup and I personally met with Congressman Pete Olson to gain his support. I attended all of the community meetings held by the district, printed flyers, and took them door to door talking with residents and encouraging them to come out and represent us at the meetings.

All of these things were for the greater good of our community and shows my passion for the city, but qualifications matter too.
