Dennis "Jabo" Leonard City Council Pos. 6 Inform the public of my candidacy for the Mont Belvieu City Council Pos. 6.

In addition, I want to convey my personal and professional qualities that will demonstrate my qualifications for this position. . I previously served our city, county, and school district in multiple capacities:

Member of the Mont Belvieu City Council from 1992 through 2000;
Vice Chairman of the Mont Belvieu City Charter Commission;
City representative to the Greater Houston Galveston Council;
Me

mber and Chairman of the Chambers County Appraisal Review Board 2016-2022;
Member and Chairman of the Barbers Hill Sports Hall of Honor 1998-present;
Retired teacher and coach from Barbers Hill I.S.D. 2017;
Awarded the Barbers Hill Distinguished Alumnus Award 2018;

Accomplishments while serving on the Mont Belvieu City council

Planning and construction of the Eagle Pointe Recreation Center and Golf Course;
Passed the Mont Belvieu Zoning Ordinance and established the Planning and Zoning
Commission which assures good organized development within the city;
Established the restriction on the number of apartments in the city;
Established engineering oversight on all development within the city including
residential, industrial, pipelines, drainage, etc.

I want to thank all of the voters that supported me to serve our community. I recognize that anticipated growth is of concern to our citizens. Meeting the needs of our existing citizens as we grow is of paramount importance. I look forward to meeting these challenges.
