Our Voice Is Our Vote

Our Voice Is Our Vote Important to express what we want in exchange for our respective votes. When candidates hear from us, they know what we want them to do.

Here is an opportunity to share perspectives on issues not getting coverage in mainstream media.

I wonder how descendants of the Japanese Interment Camps feel about this SoftBank’s billionaire CEO Masayoshi Son being chosen to fund new jobs.

“He’s a great negotiator,” SoftBank’s billionaire CEO Masayoshi Son joked about Trump after the American asked Son to double his commitment to $200 billion.

We are less than 11 months away from the 2024 elections. It does not matter at the national, state, and local levels; there are vital and volatile issues affecting the quality of our lives wherever we live. All of us have, in some way, been affected by multiple events over the past 4 years. This article, published on December 15, 2023, points out how Americans feel about the next year's campaigns and races.

🗳 How do you feel?
🗳 What actions and strategies have you considered taking to get involved and vet candidates?

The poll found that about half of U.S. adults, 51%, say democracy is working “not too well” or “not well at all.”

Thank you to all the new followers who have joined this group. There is a great deal of current racial, political, and economic turbulence that, at times, is extremely irrational, polarizing, and divisive. As voters, vetting candidates requires a report card-type approach to determine who best addresses the issues that are important to yourself, your family, your community, and your race in exchange for our respective votes.

If they are new, it will be "What will they do?" or, as incumbents, "What have they done?" about our priority concerns. Whether they are new or incumbents, worth looking at their skills and expertise to effectively resolve differences and be collaborative to address the complexities of issues affecting legislative solutions that improve the quality of our lives. Strengths and weaknesses can determine whether either of them has the capacity and the capability to develop laws and regulations that meet the needs of the constituents they represent.

~~ Time to Take Action On What Is Important To Us ~~

Quid pro quo to vet candidates who have concrete plans to address their constituency needs instead of focusing on select groups or lobbyists for these groups; in exchange for our votes. One of those areas that impacts a large segment of our population, is the absence of affordable housing as a result of gentrification controlling the real estate supply and demand. This video clip sums it up succinctly. What are your thoughts?

~~ In 2021, What Has Reshaped My View About How I Vote!! ~~

Because polarization and divisiveness have turned political parties into disconcerting and often combative encounters even after the elections are over, feel strongly many elected legislators are totally ignoring the needs of their constituents and the people who voted them into office. Both parties in many instances continue to run for office after the election is over instead of being representatives; acting on behalf of people who reside in their voting districts.

As a result, making the choice to be Independent appeared to be more logical to avoid being hijacked by fear-mongering narratives marginalizing people who voted for them that creates a level of disruptive cognitive dissonance dominating political debates and media appearances. Also now I can discern who has the intellectual prowess, collaborative leadership to develop innovative programs and legislation that best meets my needs and resolve controversial issues important to me. It is definitely about quid pro quo to get my vote when it comes to what economically and efficiently will sustain foundations for intergenerational wealth 💰💰 and health 🩺🩺. In various instances, it will be the ability of a representative to courageously stand up and vote for issues that are exclusively pertinent to my race and/or my gender.

For me, it is now a new day and a new way to discern whether an incumbent, a candidate or a write-in will deserve my vote for the opportunity to achieve what is important to me. After their election, to get my vote again will be based on how they fulfill the accountability for tenets of their platform initiatives which meaningfully enhance the quality of my life!! 🗳️🗳️

It's a myth that Black voters represent monolithic support for Democrats. A recent survey shows that young Black Americans in swing states have big reservations about Joe Biden, Democrats and voting.

Our Voice Is Our Vote

Forum to engage more people in collaborative dialogue about issues that relate to our respective lives to increase voter participation in 2020. In such a polarized and divided political environment, very easy for people to become disengaged to not participate in the voting process. Those of us who want legislators at all levels to be more responsive to represent and act on behalf of the constituents they serve, let us work together to see how we can collectively make that happen without attacking and belittling each other.
