In this new world, Central Patrol officers hold roll calls outside. We are now required to wear face masks at all times inside of the building and when on a scene. Stay safe everyone.

Today, April 7 at around 11am a Central DRT officer spotted a robbery suspect at 100 Holman St, after a short chase he detained him, Central Patrol officers charged him with robbery and evading on foot. The suspect robbed the Valero at the intersection of Westheimer/Montrose and another convenient store in the area.

Driving around our district and I saw this, thought it was beautiful.

On the morning of April 1st, a Central Patrol officer saw the suspects vehicle (black 4-door sedan) traveling south bound on I45 traveling at a high rate of speed. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle in the 100 block of W Cavalcade for the traffic violation. The vehicle stopped at a gas station. Before the officer could exit his patrol car the suspect vehicle fled north bound on the I45 feeder rd. The vehicle drove north on I45 before turning around and coming back south bound. After a nearly 40 minute chase the suspect pulled into a motel parking lot on the 16000 block of the East Fwy. The suspect along with 3 other men got out of the vehicle and attempted to walk off. The driver was detained and charged with Felony Evading and taken to the Joint Processing Center. The passengers were not charged and released.

Houstonians asked to Help Seniors with Food and Supplies During COVID-19 Crisis
Mayor Sylvester Turner joined the Kroger Company and Mattress Mack of Gallery Furniture Friday to announce a partnership to feed over 10,000 seniors in need during the City of Houston’s COVID-19 health crisis response.

Customers can donate non-perishable food at any Houston area Kroger store or Gallery Furniture 6006 N. Freeway or Gallery Furniture Grand Parkway every day from 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. Gallery Furniture is also accepting donations of cleaning supplies and toiletries.

Hundreds of volunteers at Gallery Furniture I-45 location are working to put together care packages and distribute them to several thousand food-insecure seniors
