🍎✏️ Welcome back to school, District G! 📚🚌

As students across Houston head back to the classroom this week, we’re wishing our students, teachers, staff and families a safe and successful school year!

With school back in session, remember to use extra caution on your morning and afternoon commute:

• Slow down in school zones and watch for posted speed limits.
• Put the phone away and stay alert for children crossing streets.
• Stop for school buses when required and give them plenty of space.
• Watch for crossing guards, cyclists and students walking to school.
• Leave a few extra minutes for increased traffic and drop-off/pick-up activity.
• Be especially careful around parked cars — young children may be difficult to see before they step into the roadway.

A little extra patience and attention can help make sure everyone gets to school — and back home — safely. 💙
