Loneliness in the elderly community isn’t talked about enough.
& seeing how many elders never get any visitors use to break my heart.
I know we all have things to do and things going on, however I made sure to dedicate time to my father everyday even if it was just an hour sometimes. I needed him to see a familiar face, and to feel loved and cared for.
If you have loved ones in the Nursing home. Let this be your reminder to Call them. Visit them. Sit with them.

After walking through this journey with my father, I realized how much love, patience, and strength it takes to care for our elders… and how often those moments go unseen.
