Last night, I was happy to join LULAC Council 60 to share my vision and policy plans for Harris County's future.

I spoke clearly about ICE enforcement and what it means for families across Harris County, because as your next County Judge, I will always defend immigrant rights and fight for full transparency in how Harris County works with federal immigration authorities.

That same commitment extends to every issue we face. From affordability and emergency preparedness to healthcare and making sure every family has access to the resources they deserve, I will work alongside organizations like LULAC to make sure Harris County shows up for everyone who calls it home.

Last night at our town hall, someone asked me how I plan to show up for young people across Harris County.

Another town hall is in the books! Thank you to everyone who came out to hear from me, Desiree Klaus, Albert Wittliff, and Shannon Dicely last night in Clear Lake. And a special thank you to Rep. Christina Morales for popping by—we can't wait to have you at our town hall in Aldine next week!

Behind every person who shows up to our events is a family with something real on the line.

This weekend, I was able to connect with Ronaldo Salgado, the son of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo. His family deserves the truth, and they deserve a Harris County Judge who will fight for it.

As your next County Judge, I will make sure Harris County complies with the letter of the law and not one inch beyond it, publishes every detainer and every dollar spent serving ICE, and treats every family in this county with the dignity they deserve.
