Hello Fellow Delegates. This is my official announcement that I will be running for the Democratic National Committeewoman at Large Position.

As a life-long Democrat, I have proven my dedication, hard work and service over the years in various position within the Texas Democratic and Harris County Democratic Parties. While serving my community and Texas I was elected and unanimously re-elected by my Senate District 6 to serve on the State Democratic Executive Committee (SDEC), an honor I held for 14 years until I moved my place of residence to Senate District 7. While a member of the SDEC I was appointed to serve on multiple Committees such as:
- Rules
- Grassroots
- Platform
- Finance
- Convention Selection
-Texas Two Step

Prior to the DNC doing away the with Texas Two-Step, I served as Co-Chair along with State Senator Royce West which entailed traveling cross-state and attending town halls and voter forums listening to and educating voters on how the changes would affect the primary process. As a testament to the trust, confidence and respect I earned while on the SDEC, I was appointed and reappointed as the Chair of the Democratic Rules Committee, a position that I held for 12 years under the leadership of the following Texas Democratic Party Chairs Bob Slagle, Molly Beth Malcom, Charles Soechting, Boyd Ritchie and Gilberto Hinojosa.

I am passionate about “Turning Texas Blue” and have and will continue to work hard to educate voters and fight for the development of “means not hurdles” to ensure all Texas voters have the ability to cast their votes by mail during this Covid-19 pandemic.

With your vote, you can be assured that your voice will be heard. I have never been one to avoid a challenge and I approach challenges with tact, diplomacy and integrity. For additional information about me and what I have done for Texas, visit my website www.RoseforTexas.com. You will also find information on the TDP convention process and other helpful links. Voting for this position will take place via email beginning May 28th and ending May 30th.

I look forward to a successful virtual convention and ask for your vote for the Democratic National Committee (DNC) Female At-Large position.

Respectfully,

ROSE SALAS
