May we never forget that our freedom isn't free. It was bought and paid for by heroes who never made it home. Holding their families in our hearts today. Today we remember and honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Gone but never forgotten.

Please be on the lookout for sophisticated fraudulent "Final Enforcement Notices" currently circulating. These documents are designed to look like official court summons, but they are complete fabrications intended to steal your money. We had one that looked exactly like the attached picture but it was issued out of Wayne County.

How to Spot the Scam:

• Vague Violations: The notice lists generic charges like "Failure to Pay Electronic Toll," "Parking Violation," and "Speeding Violation" all on one document—courts typically issue separate citations for specific incidents.

• High-Pressure Language: Phrases like "FORMALLY DECLARED DELINQUENT," "ENFORCEMENT ACTIVE," and "IMMEDIATE AND COMPLETE ACTION" are used to trigger panic so you don't double-check the facts.

• QR Code Payments: Legitimate courts will never ask you to scan a random QR code to pay a "Traffic Violation Account". Official payments are handled through verified government portals or at the courthouse.

• Suspicious Deadlines: Often, the "hearing date" on these notices is set for only a few days after the letter is "issued," leaving the recipient no time to research the case.

What You Should Do:

1. Don’t Scan the Code: Never follow payment links or QR codes from unsolicited letters.

2. Verify via Official Channels: If you think you might actually have a citation, look up the court’s official phone number or website independently. Do not use the contact info provided on the suspicious letter.

3. Spread the Word: Share this post to protect your friends and family, especially those who may be more vulnerable to official-looking mail.

Stay vigilant! Our community is safer when we look out for one another.
