We don’t like making posts like this, but today we’re asking for help.

So far this year, 3R K9 Search Foundation has already been called on 27 searches and it’s only getting busier.

This year has been unlike anything we expected. The calls keep coming, and the work is far from over. Behind every search are real costs—fuel, equipment, vehicle expenses, and the supplies needed to keep our team ready to answer the next call.

When a family is desperate for help, we never want finances to determine whether we can respond.

Officer Keith Powell was such an asset to our community. One of the best dispatchers and then a great officer. My condolences to Kay, his children and family.

Heads up! (5/19/26) A Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northwestern Columbia, Hempstead, Southeastern Howard, Lafayette, Southeastern Little River, Miller, Southwestern Nevada Counties. Until 3:15 PM

At 223 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
over Hope to over Lone Star, or along a line from over Hope to 16
miles east of Pittsburg, moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Texarkana, Hope, Atlanta, Wake Village, Stamps, Waldo, Lewisville,
Vivian, Nash, Hooks, Daingerfield, Jefferson, Linden, Hughes
Springs, Lone Star, Queen City, Naples, Redwater and Maud.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds.

Wind damage with these storms will occur before any rain or
lightning. Do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover.
