Every Round Fired Builds Readiness

Behind every qualified Soldier is hours of disciplined training and repetition.

Soldiers assigned to the 303rd Ordnance Battalion (EOD), 8th Military Police Brigade, qualified on the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon during a range at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. By mastering different weapon systems, Soldiers sharpen the skills and confidence needed to operate effectively in demanding environments.

Readiness isn't built overnight—it is earned through realistic training that prepares Soldiers and units to accomplish the mission when it matters most.

Where Partnership Meets Readiness

From counter-IED operations to lifesaving combat casualty care, Service members from across the U.S. Pacific are strengthening the skills and partnerships needed to succeed in complex peacekeeping environments.

During U.S. Army instructors led multinational participants through improvised explosive device (IED) search techniques, while Republic of Korea Army instructors trained multinational service members on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), demonstrating and practicing the treatment of simulated arterial wounds. Participants also applied their skills by searching for simulated IEDs during realistic training lanes.

By sharing knowledge and training side by side, allies and partners continue to enhance interoperability, strengthen peacekeeping readiness, and build the trusted relationships that support security and stability across the U.S. Pacific.

Building Interoperability One Training Lane at a Time

From lifesaving medical training to realistic peacekeeping scenarios, Soldiers from across the U.S. Pacific are strengthening the skills and partnerships needed to succeed together.

Korean Army Soldiers from the Armed Forces Medical Readiness & Training School demonstrated the contents of a first aid kit during a Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) class, while U.S. and Mongolian Soldiers practiced treating and bandaging simulated casualties. Philippine Army Soldiers assessed casualties during a Designated Site training lane, and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Soldiers worked alongside role players in a checkpoint scenario that emphasized protecting civilians while maintaining security.

These multinational training events enhance peacekeeping capabilities, improve interoperability among allies and partners, and strengthen the trusted relationships that support security and stability across the U.S. Pacific.

Building Readiness Through Multinational Training 🌏

Soldiers from the Mongolian Army, Indian Army, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, and U.S. Army trained side by side during , participating in a series of realistic peacekeeping and security-focused training lanes at the Five Hills Training Facility near Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

Training events included counter-unmanned aircraft systems operations, security perimeter procedures, counter-IED patrols, and checkpoint security scenarios featuring role-players portraying injured civilians. These challenging, hands-on exercises strengthened participants' ability to operate together in complex environments while enhancing communication, coordination, and mission readiness.

Khaan Quest—the US-Pacific region's largest Peacekeeping Operations Exercise—has strengthened relationships and increased interoperability among allies and partners. Khaan Quest 26 continues that mission by building trust, enhancing capabilities, and preparing participating nations to address shared security challenges together.
