🐾✨ Meet S’mores! ✨🐾

One of our newest foster kittens at Aloha Kitty TNR, S’mores is currently in the socialization phase and recently had her very first official play session at my house—and she absolutely stole the show! 💕 Full of curiosity, energy, and classic kitten mischief, she's quickly letting her sweet personality shine through. While she started out as a spicy little meatball from Pearl City, she's definitely living up to her name as we discover her softer side together. 🍫🔥

I was lucky enough to capture this special moment and entered her photo into the Hawaiian Humane Society Photo Contest!

Aloha Kitty TNR partners with the Hawaiian Humane Society to provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) services across Oʻahu, helping mālama ʻāina while humanely reducing free-roaming cat populations through spay/neuter programs.

We receive a huge number of messages every day, and we want to make sure we can help as many cats and community members as possible. Please take a moment to read our guidelines before reaching out.

📱 Need help with TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return)?
Please text Leilani at 808-392-3881.

Before texting:
✔️ Check for an ear notch (a small tip removed from the left ear). If the cat has an ear notch, they have already been spayed/neutered and returned.
✔️ Send clear photos of the cat(s) needing assistance.
✔️ Include the location and a brief description of the situation.

📸 Texts with photos receive the fastest response. Leilani is often unable to answer calls but checks text messages throughout the day.

🏡 Need rehoming assistance or have friendly kittens?
At this time, we have NO open fosters available. If you are able to temporarily hold the cat or kittens, we may be able to help coordinate resources. If you cannot hold them, please understand that we may not be able to assist immediately.

🚑 Found a sick or injured cat or kitten?
Please text photos to Leilani so we can assess the situation and determine the best course of action.

💕 **Happy Ending Update: Angel (now Anela)!** 💕

We can't believe it's already been six months since Angel joined our family! We renamed her **Anela** (Hawaiian for "angel"), and it couldn't fit her better—except when she's being mischievous and earns the nickname **"Naughty Nela!"** 😹

Anela has completely stolen our hearts. She spends her days ruling the house from the highest perches, flopping down wherever she pleases, and keeping us laughing with her playful antics. At night, she's a biscuit-making cuddle bug who loves snuggling with her mom.

She's also settled in nicely with her senior cat brother, Ponzu. They may not be the cuddly sibling type, but they enjoy hanging out together and occasionally sprinting through the house at full speed for no apparent reason. 🐾

Anela has inspired us in more ways than one—we even started a Facebook group, Udderly Adorable Cow Cats, where fellow cow cat lovers share photos and stories of their black-and-white kitties! 🖤🤍

Most importantly, Anela is healthy, happy, and deeply loved. Thank you, Aloha Kitty TNR, for rescuing this special girl and helping her find her forever home. We are so grateful she found her way into our lives! ❤️

ALOHA AVIATORS TAKES FLIGHT FOR MOLOKAI!

Something truly incredible happened this week! Aloha Aviators, an amazing group of volunteer pilots, teamed up with PAPA (Professional Asian Pilot Association) to wing their way from Honolulu to Molokai, loaded to the brim with animal supplies, nutritious food, and back-to-school essentials, all packed into a single Cessna C-172. Talk about a mighty little plane with a MIGHTY BIG heart!

The impact is immediate and powerful. Kelma, who oversees receiving and distributing goods to the Molokai community, said it best: “The timing is phenomenal. We haven’t had a barge delivery in over a week or so and the shelves are bare in town.” This one flight will make all the difference.

None of this happens without our partners on the ground. Aloha Kitty TNR reached out to the community and collected donations from Alii Animal Hospital and other generous donors in Oahu. And get this — it’s already the third large pet food drive for Molokai, with the previous two pallets weighing in at a whopping 800 and 900 pounds each!

And the momentum doesn’t stop there. Because of the overwhelming generosity of the local community with animal supply donations, Aloha Aviators and PAPA are gearing up for a SECOND delivery this Saturday!

Ground volunteer Maraya from Rescue Kitties of Hawaii captured the spirit perfectly: “This is amazing. We have a ton of mouths to feed on Molokai. Especially the dogs that eat even more than kittens!”

🐾 The Importance of Spaying & Neutering Your Cats 🐾

Did you know that just ONE unspayed female cat and her offspring can lead to hundreds of thousands of cats in just a few years? Experts estimate that one unspayed cat and her descendants can produce over 350,000 cats in as little as 7 years if left unchecked.

Cats can become pregnant as early as 4-5 months of age and can have multiple litters every year. This is one of the biggest reasons shelters, rescues, and TNR organizations are overwhelmed with homeless cats and kittens.

Spaying and neutering doesn't just prevent unwanted litters—it also provides important health benefits, including reducing the risk of certain cancers, decreasing roaming and fighting behaviors, and helping cats live healthier lives.

Whether your cat lives indoors, outdoors, or spends time both inside and outside, being a responsible pet owner means ensuring they are spayed or neutered. Accidental litters happen far more often than people realize, and every kitten born means one less home available for a cat already waiting for a family.

🐾 Every Cat and Kitten We Save Costs More Than Most People Realize 🐾

Aloha Kitty TNR is entirely donation-funded, and the reality is that every cat and kitten we help puts us in the red financially. We don't have the large donor pool that bigger organizations have, but we also don't have the same overhead. Every dollar donated goes directly toward helping cats and kittens in need and supporting our TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) efforts across the island.

Here's a look at the basic medical costs for just ONE foster cat or kitten:
