Councilwoman Kara Foster, OD, here to listen and turn your ideas into action for safer sidewalks, healthier neighborhoods, and stronger local businesses.

Kara Foster, OD - elected Town Councilwoman for Holly Springs. I bring two decades of patient care, community service, and practical problem solving to local government, and I’m committed to turning good ideas into real results. My priorities are clear, listenable, and measurable: safer, more walkable streets and greenways, healthier neighborhoods through better food access and prevention programs, attainable housing that keeps teachers and essential workers here, and an environment where local small businesses can thrive. I rely on evidence, town planning tools, and resident input to guide decisions, and I will always explain how and why I vote so our community can follow the process. I believe public service should be accessible, transparent, and focused on everyday improvements that make life easier for families, seniors, and working neighbors. Tell me what matters to you at Karaforcouncil.com, send a message here, or use the Town’s public comment system. I am listening and I will work to make your voice count!

I was so happy to have been invited to the 2026 Southern Area Choral Festival!

I loved seeing students from five local middle and high schools come together to share their talents!

Supporting the arts and seeing our schools collaborate is one of the things I love most about our community. ❤️ 🎶

A huge thank you to the students, teachers, and organizers who made this wonderful event possible!

Need a ride to the polls?

I wanted to share a helpful resource that a resident recently passed along!

Transportation shouldn’t be a barrier to having your voice heard. Rideshare2Vote Aware is a nonprofit that helps connect voters with transportation to the polls.

Need a ride?

Visit: https://rideshare2voteaware.org/request-a-ride/

Or call: 888-858-3421

Rides are subject to local volunteer availability, so please plan ahead!

❤️ Want to help?

They’re also looking for volunteers to help others get to the polls.

Regardless of our political beliefs, I think we can all agree that everyone deserves the opportunity to participate in our democracy!

If you know of other organizations offering rides to the polls in Holly Springs, please share them in the comments. I’d love to help get the word out!

Early voting runs through October 31, and Election Day is November 3! 🇺🇸

Even at the Happiest Place on Earth, I somehow find myself at Town Hall!

Don’t worry, I’m not here for a council meeting. Just taking a little inspiration back to Holly Springs!

Although I might have a few questions about Disney’s transportation planning… 😉✨🏰
