Oil companies are moving into San Benito County and want to destroy our environment by initiating toxic fracking and other oil extraction techniques that will destroy our community. The issue is on the ballot this November -- one of the most important elections in San Benito County history! Vote YE

S on Measure J to ban fracking in San Benito! Fracking involves drilling wells thousands of feet deep and injecting water, sand and chemicals under high pressure to fracture the shale and release the gas and oil. In California, Cyclic Steam Injection is often used and involves injecting hot steam (with solvents and other chemicals) at high pressure into wells. These extreme extraction techniques use hundreds of thousands of gallons of fresh water and frequently contaminate aquifers and surface water. The Haybaler is the mascot for San Benito High School (SBHS). SBHS is located in Hollister, CA. More about Haybalers Against Fracking
