Today, I’m thinking of and sending a prayer up for all of those who are living with PTSD in some form. I’m here in your corner. 🙏🏽

On June 27th, we honor the strength of those living with the lasting impact of trauma. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can affect anyone — including many of our veterans and service members — and today serves as a reminder of the importance of awareness, understanding, and access to effective support.

Ottawa County Veterans Services stands with those on the journey of healing. Let’s continue to lead with compassion, break the stigma, and ensure no one faces PTSD alone.

Happy Monday Friends, I wanted to share an opportunity with you, for any veterans that are considering starting their own business. The opportunity is courtesy of Grand Valley State University. My friend Shannon Owen, Director of the Northern Michigan Region had this to say:

"I wanted to share with you an incredible opportunity I’m excited to bring to northern Michigan. GVSU’s Military & Veterans Entrepreneur (MVE) Lab is starting in Traverse City on March 10th with the ability for individuals to zoom into the sessions. This program is designed to empower military veterans and military affiliated family members with the tools, knowledge, and resources needed to start or grow their own businesses. The program concludes with a Pitch Night offering prizes of at least $15,000. "
