Need Resources to Help Get You Through?

The Hobart Township Resource Guide is available to connect residents with local programs and services that may be able to help during difficult times.

The guide includes information on:
• Food assistance and local food pantries
• SNAP, Medicaid, and TANF resources
• Meals on Wheels services
• Utility assistance programs
• Housing and community assistance resources
• Mental health and family support services
• Indiana 211 and other community partners

At the Hobart Township Trustee’s Office, we understand that asking for help isn’t always easy. Our goal is simple: to assist our neighbors and help connect residents with the resources they need.

If you live in Hobart, Lake Station, or New Chicago and need assistance, please contact our office at 219-942-0055 or stop by 1421 W. 37th Avenue, Hobart, IN 46342.

You are not alone. Help is available, and we’re here to help.

Today, Trustee Fred Williams and I would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Lake Station Fire Department for their assistance in helping the Hobart Township Trustee’s Office provide support to a resident with medical needs who was without power.

This is a perfect example of neighbors helping neighbors and agencies working together to ensure the safety and well-being of our community members during difficult situations.

We are grateful for the professionalism, compassion, and quick response of the LSFD personnel who stepped up when help was needed most.

Thank you, LSFD, for your continued dedication and service to the residents of Lake Station and Hobart Township. Your partnership and willingness to assist do not go unnoticed.

Please continue to check on your family members, friends, and neighbors, especially those who may have medical needs or require additional assistance during power outages. If you know of someone in need, please reach out to the Hobart Township Trustee’s Office.

Together, we can make a difference.
