Second grade explores nutrition and the digestive system last Friday!! Parent volunteers set up snack plates that included unlikely members for some students like sardines, radishes, and edamame. They also set up stations where the students imitated the digestive system by mixing graham crackers and banana with lime juice! It was a beautiful day at Gold Park. 😊✌️

Ms. Gibbs 8th graders explore acidity levels of different substances by dipping pH paper into each substance while also mixing elements to discover how that can change the reactivity levels. 🦠🧪🧑‍🔬👩‍🔬

C – Community & Collaboration: Lauren Clark 

"Lauren consistently steps up wherever she is needed, demonstrating a strong sense of initiative and reliability. She brings a true 'can-do' attitude to her work — whether covering for a colleague, supporting students, or simply showing up as a committed member of our crew. We are so lucky to have her!"

R – Respect & Responsibility: Carol Squires 

"Ms. Squires is one of those teachers who just really sees her students. She is sincere, attentive, and genuinely knows each of her kids as individuals. She is always a listening ear, connects with her students on a deep level, and approaches everything she does with such kindness and compassion. Her students are so lucky to have someone in their corner like her."

E – Excellence & Equity: Samantha Roberts 

"Ms. Roberts is such a wonderful kindergarten teacher. She has this calm, patient presence that helps kids feel safe and supported, and somehow she makes every single one of them excited to learn. Watching my child adjust to school this year has been such a gift, and I know she is a big part of that!"

W – Wonder & Growth: Jackie Gibbs 

  "Ms.Gibbs makes science genuinely fun! I'd say the proof is in Science Night, where her students show up buzzing with excitement to share everything they've learned through their own presentations and games. She has a gift for recognizing each child's strengths and building on them in ways that are meaningful and memorable. My daughter who is in high school still talks about her class, and that says it all."
