If you are up early Friday morning (an hour or so before sunrise) make sure you check out a rare planetary alignment in the southeastern sky that will not happen again until 2040.

Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn have been lining up this month from left to right in the southeastern sky, in their orbital order from the sun. Friday morning the crescent moon will sneak in between Venus and Mars. Credit: Stellarium with additions by Bob King

Wilderness Trails Workday this Saturday, May 4, 08:00 to 12:30. Meet at Trout Creek parking lot. Rolling out at 08:00 so please arrive at least 10 minutes prior. Wilderness Park Trail Workday this Saturday, Oct 20, 08:00 till noon-ish. We need some volunteers. There are 34 miles of off road trails that require many manhours to maintain. If you Ride, Run or Hike here, please consider volunteering your time. Lunch provided for all volunteers. Please RSVP before Friday at noon time so I have a headcount for lunch.
