Surprise! I loved speaking to other voters post meeting about how we can build this nation up, get the economy back on track, and the cost of this unwanted war. I was hoping the chair members would ask about my tax plan but instead...

I will say if your first question is about transgender surgeries you're going to find out how foolish you sound very quickly. There are more pressing issues, you should love your neighbor and stop worrying about what's in someone elses pants. I hope the chair members learned that valuable lesson from this experience with me 😎

Also the county clerk shouldn’t talk about keeping Democrats off the ballot either. That was pretty distasteful, Jodi Fetting.

Yesterday I got up at 5am, worked 6 to 4:30, and left home in Highland at 5:30 to be up in Vassar at 7:30pm to door knock last night. Plopped a couple signs in yards, shook some hands, but more importantly I met a sugar beet farmer who's been struggling. We talked about fertilizer, diesel, the cost of machinery and equipment, land prices, getting more younger people into farming (he's 30 and I'm almost 35), how to keep and expand American farming instead of constantly importing, and eventually we ended up exchanging numbers. I'll be reaching back out to him later today to discuss more.

I also do want to wish Lisa McClain best of luck today with her Dinner on the Farm event in Vassar. I'll be in Springfield Township tonight for their Data Center ordinance meeting, after I meet with the UAW about bringing manufacturing back of course. Tomorrow is family day, and Thursday I'm back up in Tuscola County for... a surprise 😎

🐄 Here is your breakdown of Trumps import of beef (I'm a bit of a math nerd but I'll round numbers to keep things simple)

🥩 300,000 metric tons of imported beef over the course of the next 3 months is roughly 661 million pounds

🍔 661 million pounds divided by the 350 million people living here in America comes to about 2 pounds of beef per person, or 6-8 burger patties

💲 If the beef hits 25% below it's current near $7/ lb, you save about $3.50 over these 3 months buying your 2 pounds of beef

👨‍🌾 Ranchers don't get paid more, this doesn't help bring beef costs down in the long run for consumers, and does it help boost beef production here in America

🐮 Cow/ calf credits, passing MCOOL, and breaking our monopolistic meat packers up would be far more beneficial both to consumers and ranchers

It was great meeting so many at Lapeer Days today. Here's a quick video of me meeting a young upcoming voter and asking what's important to them. It's something I tend to ask everywhere I go because I genuinely want to hear from you what your top concerns are.

🏠 Mortgages and rent are climbing
👶 Daycare costs as much as mortgage and rent
🏞 Data centers keep threatening our great lakes and farmlands
⚙️ Manufacturing is still in decline
🚛 Truckers are losing work
🚜 Farmers keep being squeezed by monopolies
🐄 Ranchers see us importing more foreign beef
🥬 Food keeps getting contaminated
👩‍🏫 Schools continue getting underfunded

While the millages last week may have failed across Oakland County, I'm out here asking how I can help. Clearly everyone feels overtaxed and underpaid, however the safety of our communities shouldn't be one of the first things we choose to sacrifice when we're supposedly in a golden age.

I was hoping to ask our Representative Lisa McClain about this as she was here speaking when I arrived, but she quickly scurried off stage and dipped as I stood front and center. So I chose to speak with the experts instead 👩‍🚒👨‍🚒👮‍♀️👮‍♂️
