Thank you to the wonderful people of Highland Park! I am grateful for your support, confidence and votes! It has been a whirlwind, but I am excited to serve on the City Council for another term along with freshly re-elected Councilmembers Andres Tapia and Barisa Meckler Bruckman. I look forward to working with all of my colleagues and to welcoming Jon Center as the newest member of the Council. This amazing city deserves the positive focus, collaboration and enhanced vision that we are about to embark upon!

Congrats also to Lori Fink, Jaret Fishman, Art Kessler and Bennett Lasko, newly and re-elected to NSSD 112; Alex Brunk and Jaime Barraza, Rick Heineman and Jenny Lupa, newly and re-elected to THSD 113; and to Josie Beck and Steven Greenberg newly elected to the Park District of Highland Park.

Humbled and honored to serve you!

Today is the last day to VOTE early. Head over to the Highwood Public Library at 102 Highwood if you've been away over Spring break!

I am unopposed in the election for City Council, but would love your support. There are three candidates running for the three full-term slots on the City Council (including me). ELECTION DAY is tomorrow, APRIL 1.

JON CENTER is running for the remainder of Jeff Hoobler’s term in the two year slot. I strongly endorse Jon and urge you to vote for him. This is a consequential election to retain the business acumen Jeff brought to the Council and to continue the momentum.

Dear Friends,
I am running for re-election to the City Council for a four-year term this April. While I am unopposed, along with Andres Tapia, with whom I have worked very closely, and Barisa Bruckman, who was appointed to fill Jeff Hoobler's seat, this election remains critical for the future of Highland Park.
JON CENTER is running for the only contested City Council seat – the remaining two years of Jeff Hoobler’s term. I wholeheartedly support JON and hope you will, too.
Jon is a lifelong Highland Park resident, raising his young family here and deeply invested in our community’s future. As a CPA and CFO, he brings essential financial expertise and small business acumen. In fact, he would be the only Councilmember with this essential background!
Jon has a proven track record of cutting waste, streamlining operations, and driving efficiency—skills that are crucial for making Highland Park a more vibrant, business-friendly community.
More than just a strong candidate, Jon’s election is key to advancing goals that I, too, am dedicated to achieving:
Supporting local businesses, reducing red tape, and attracting innovative new ventures.
Creating a thriving, welcoming environment for families, businesses, and visitors alike.
Ensuring all voices are heard and represented, not ignored.
Holding local government accountable to the people it serves.
Jon’s fresh perspective on the City Council will be instrumental in driving policies that respect the will of the voters, foster business growth, and ensure a transparent and accountable government.
Get involved by contacting Jon directly at [email protected] or visiting his website. www.JC4HP2025.com. I also hope you will:
Request a yard sign
Add your name as a supporter
Donate to his campaign
Most importantly — Vote on April 1st!
This election will be close—your vote matters. Mail-in ballots will begin arriving March 7. Voter information is available at www.lakevoterpower.info. Please VOTE for JON!
Truly appreciate your time, effort and commitment to our community,
Annette

Next weekend is the LWV Candidates Forum: an important event to learn more about the candidates running for office locally in the April elections. As I am unopposed, I have submitted written responses to questions for the League’s Voter Guide, but will not be participating in the Forum, other than as an observer.
