Dear Friends,
I am running for re-election to the City Council for a four-year term this April. While I am unopposed, along with Andres Tapia, with whom I have worked very closely, and Barisa Bruckman, who was appointed to fill Jeff Hoobler's seat, this election remains critical for the future of Highland Park.
JON CENTER is running for the only contested City Council seat – the remaining two years of Jeff Hoobler’s term. I wholeheartedly support JON and hope you will, too.
Jon is a lifelong Highland Park resident, raising his young family here and deeply invested in our community’s future. As a CPA and CFO, he brings essential financial expertise and small business acumen. In fact, he would be the only Councilmember with this essential background!
Jon has a proven track record of cutting waste, streamlining operations, and driving efficiency—skills that are crucial for making Highland Park a more vibrant, business-friendly community.
More than just a strong candidate, Jon’s election is key to advancing goals that I, too, am dedicated to achieving:
Supporting local businesses, reducing red tape, and attracting innovative new ventures.
Creating a thriving, welcoming environment for families, businesses, and visitors alike.
Ensuring all voices are heard and represented, not ignored.
Holding local government accountable to the people it serves.
Jon’s fresh perspective on the City Council will be instrumental in driving policies that respect the will of the voters, foster business growth, and ensure a transparent and accountable government.
