The Hear Our Voices Project strives to bring humanity to the forefront of gun legislation. All too frequently, mass shootings get reduced down to numbers and statistics, ignoring the countless lives that have been forever changed.
Hear Our Voices hopes to create a public online database of impact statements from anyone who feels compelled to write one and share their story. This database will be shared in combination with petitions in order to pressure lawmakers for a ban on all assault weapons.
There are healing properties in writing and reflecting. Let's harness those healing properties toward advocation.
**Note** Anyone, regardless of how directly they have been impacted, is invited to share their story. There is power in numbers and even more power in voices. Let's bring them both.
