Celebrate Independent Bookstore Day and Secret World Books’ One-Year Anniversary!

Today, April 26, from 10 AM – 6 PM, Secret World Books invites the community to celebrate both Independent Bookstore Day and the shop’s first anniversary.

Independent Bookstore Day is a nationwide celebration of local bookshops, and Secret World Books will mark the occasion with special surprises, exclusive Independent Bookstore Day offerings, and artwork by Chicago’s own Lucy Knisley honoring area bookstores.

The shop is also one of 53 stops on the MyChicagoBookstore Bus Tour — a bookstore crawl across Chicagoland. Readers who visit 10 participating bookstores earn 10% off books all year long, while those who visit 15 stores receive 15% off.

Stop by, join the celebration, and show your love for local bookstores!
