CPR isn’t just a medical skill. In a cardiac emergency, anyone can be the difference before professional help arrives.

Parents, caregivers, neighbors, coworkers and friends are often the true first responders. When more people are ready, more lives are saved. If you see a teen or adult collapse, call 911 and push hard and fast in the center of the chest.

May is National Bike Month!
Biking is a fun and healthy way to get around, but safety is essential. Each year, over 1,000 people die in bicycle-related accidents, and approximately 400,000 suffer non-fatal injuries.
Help prevent injury by being prepared:
-Know the traffic laws in your area
-Stay alert and aware of your surroundings
-Wear bright, visible clothing
-Use proper hand signals when turning or stopping
-Always wear a bicycle helmet
Even with precautions, accidents can still happen. Be ready—learn First Aid. Sign up for a class today!

Warmer weather is here and so is snake season. Prevention is always key but accidents do happen.
If you are bitten by a snake,
- Stay calm and sit or lie down, keeping the injured site below the level of your heart.
- Call 911 and contact your local Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222.
- Try to remember what the snake looked like and any markings to aid in timely medical treatment.
