St. Vincent de Paul is opening a Community Food Pantry (open to Hercules residents) tomorrow - Saturday, August 22, between 11a and 12 noon, at the Rodeo Senior Center (located at 189 Parker Avenue). FREE groceries - bring your own bag.

National Night Out was so much fun last night. Thanks to the Bay Front Chamber partnership, there were a lot of happy campers. The train ride was a hit, the bubbles were fantastic, and most important the community had a lot of fun. Here's a short clip.

Join us for National Night Out at Refugio Valley Park, on Tuesday, August 4, from 6-8p. There will be food trucks, vendors, music and more. We’ll end the night with a movie in the park under the stars.

National Night Out is observed annually on the first Tuesday in August. This night focuses on the community and raising awareness in the United States. Promoting police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer.

Save the date: National Night Out (NNO) will be held on Tuesday, August 4, at Refugio Valley Park. NNO focuses on the community and raising awareness in the United States; promoting police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer. On Sunday, July 19, the Hercules Piranhas hosted a “last chance” meet for swimmers to reach County swim times. There were approximately 100 swimmers representing 6 teams, including Hercules Piranhas, Pinole Seals, Crockett Crocodiles, Martinez Otters, Pleasant Hill Dolfins and Benicia Stingrays. 15 swimmers made county including 6 from the Piranhas. Congratulations to all the swimmers! Good luck at County!!!

We were happy to help St. Vincent de Paul get a pantry open today. Thanks to this wonderful group of humans, they provided a free Spaghetti Night Grocery Kit to families while supplies lasted at the Hercules Swim Center. They intend to open a pantry in the near future.

Quick update on the FREE Summer Meals program. The City is working with WCCUSD to provide youth 18 years and under to get a free nutritious lunch M-F at the following locations...
• 11:00a-12:00p at Frog Pad Park
• 12:15-1:15p at the Community Swim Center
• 1:30-2:30p at Foxboro Park
Youth must be present to receive a meal. No one can pick up a meal for the children. If you'd like to participate, this program will continue through August 7.
