🎉 Happy New Year from the Nevada Science Teachers Association! 🎉

As we welcome 2025, let’s celebrate Nevada’s unique scientific contributions and inspire curiosity in the year ahead:

🌌 Stargazing Paradise
Nevada’s clear skies and dark-sky parks, like Great Basin National Park, make it a perfect spot to observe celestial events. Encourage your students to kick off the year by tracking constellations or spotting January’s meteor showers!

🌋 Geothermal Powerhouse
Nevada ranks second in the nation for geothermal energy production. This renewable resource highlights the state’s potential for sustainable energy solutions—a perfect topic for engaging classroom discussions on renewable energy!

🐦 Winter Wildlife Wonders
From the desert tortoise to the greater sage-grouse, Nevada’s diverse habitats host unique wildlife. Winter is an excellent time to explore how animals adapt to colder temperatures and shifting ecosystems.

Cheers to a year of discovery, inspiration, and science education! 🥳

Why did the biology teacher go to the holiday party? ......
Because she heard there would be a lot of "cell-ebrating!"
