Thank you so much to the Helena Ambassadors and the entire Helena community for putting together today's 4th of July celebration!

It is an extra special 4th of July celebrating our countries 250th and running to represent the people of Lewis & Clark County. I will always strive to create a more perfect union and stand up for everyone I represent.

151 days. That is how long we have until election day. 151 days until the last ballots are cast. 151 days to reach out to voters and show them how we can make Lewis & Clark County better. 21 and a half weeks of knocking doors, public events, phone calls, social media posts, ads, and more.

Last week was three days in a row of budget presentations before the county commission. Being able to watch the amazing staff from all the different departments bring their FY 27 budgets was a wonderful learning experience. There are so many great staff members, departments, and organizations doing so many fantastic things for the residents of our county.

It is going to take some serious work to make sure they can continue to do all this while not increasing the burden on taxpayers. I'm looking forward to working with staff, the other commissioners, and the state to make it possible.

The citizens of Lewis & Clark county deserve the best from their elected leaders. I promise to give my best everyday just as county staff does.

The Primary Election is almost here! Even though my race isn't on the ballot for the primary, it is still so important that you get out there and vote! Democracy is determined by those that show up.

We need to show up and make sure the candidates going forward to the general election this November will do what is right for everyone they serve. Candidates that will say no to data centers, work to lower property taxes, create good paying jobs, support our public lands, public safety, and public health, and more.

I look forward to being one of those candidates this fall. I will be a leader that listens to all of my constituents. I can't do it alone though. Thank you so much to everyone who came and donated at our event last night. It was so great being around friends and meeting new people who care about the future of our county.

We are all feeling the struggle and pressure lately. We need representation that feels those struggles. We need someone willing and able to adapt to the uncertainty and ever changing challenges.

A great scene today in Helena. Hundreds of folks showing up to exercise their constitutional rights. Chants from high schoolers, great friends, huge crowd, volunteers spreading word on how to help people in the community, and a rousing speech from Governor Steve Bullock.

The rights of assembly, free speech, freedom of religion, to defend yourself, and the right to vote are some of the building blocks of our country. This is what democracy looks like. It isn't something given, but something fought for by every generation.

I will work every day I am in office to defend these rights. My goal is to make all of Lewis & Clark County a place we can all be happy and proud to call home. It will be a place to live out our dreams. These things will only be accomplished by protecting and fighting for our rights.

Yesterday was a great day on the campaign trail. Started the morning at Hometown Helena listening to Chief Justice Swanson talk about the importance of working together and finding common ground to move forward.

I ended the day at the York Community Meeting. Discussions about housing affordability, emergency preparedness, wildfire preparations, food insecurity, public lands, and creating opportunities for people in the county all came up multiple times.

We need leaders who are committed to making housing more affordable, invest in public lands, public safety, and public health. We need leadership that will listen and work with all of our communities to create opportunities. These are the commitments I have made.

Such a great weekend! So happy to have had the opportunity to spend time with so many friends from across the state. This year is going to have a huge impact on the future of our county, state, and country.

I'm ready to invest in our public lands, public safety, and public health. I'm committed to working with partners at every level of government to make life more affordable for everyone. I'm going to create opportunities so everyone has the chance to live out their dreams here in our communities.

Thank you to the Helena Area Chamber of Commerce, the Helena school district, Brother's Taproom, and the different companies involved in the upgrades to our Helena Schools for a great event tonight!

Education is the silver bullet and these new buildings and modifications will lead to more opportunity in Lewis & Clark County. We need to make decisions for a better future and that is exactly what voters did when they passed these bonds. That is also what I will do on the Lewis & Clark County Commission.
