United Way of the Lewis & Clark Area

United Way of the Lewis & Clark Area Uniting Resources, Organizations, and People to Transform Our Community for Good. Our United Way Network seeks to dismantle disparities.

UWLCA Mission:
To unite resources, organizations, and people to transform our community for good. About Us:
From strengthening local resilience to advancing health, youth opportunity, and financial security, United Way is mobilizing communities to action so all can thrive. With deep local roots around the world, we see how our communities’ greatest challenges are connected — and how we can bring people and resources together to address them. That’s why we’re here, in our communities, always listening and ready to respond. Working together with our neighbors, we’re strengthening local resilience and advancing health, youth opportunity, and financial security
for all. With more than a thousand United Ways around the world, we share ideas and innovations to drive global impact. Every day, our communities show that when people unite to take action, change is possible. Together, we're creating a future where everyone, everywhere can reach their full potential. UWLCA Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Statement:
At the United Way of Lewis & Clark Area, we recognize racism, discrimination and oppression have contributed to disparities that have existed in the past and persist in the present across our nation and in Montana. We acknowledge those inequities are the result of policies and practices that work to marginalize entire populations of people. We denounce discrimination in all its forms because it undermines the well-being and vitality of our communities. We strive to engage residents and community members, especially those whose voices have traditionally been marginalized, in the shared work of building equity and empowerment. We work with public and private partners to co-create solutions that ensure everyone has the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive. We believe that diversity drives creativity and innovation, therefore we commit to leveraging all of our assets to create more equitable communities. We know that having varied perspectives helps generate better ideas to solve the complex problems of an ever-changing and increasingly diverse world. Comment Disclaimer:

It’s 988 day. This is never an easy topic to discuss, but most of us have been affected by su***de in our community. We’re helping to bring awareness, reduce stigma, and remind everyone that they are enough. 988 is the su***de and mental health helpline, much like 911. All you need to do is call for help.

Rember, your reason for calling is enough.

We’re back with another Partner Spotlight featuring Amber, Jessica, and Aaron from the Behavioral Health Local Advisory Council and Lewis and Clark Public Health!
Behavioral health is a key focus of the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP), and we’re proud to work hand in hand with these partners, including during our Housing is Healthcare Summit.
September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month. With the NAMI Walk coming up on September 22 and the 988 Tic Tac Toe Challenge happening now, there are plenty of ways to get involved and spread awareness.
You don’t have to suffer in silence. You’re not alone, and help is available. 💙

Today's the day as we start Craft A Better Community is a month-long celebration of local businesses giving back! Throughout the month, your everyday purchases can help support the people and places that make Helena a great place to call home. Every Sunday for the month of September at Ten Mile Creek Brewery
And it all starts with our first event! Join Neil from Sauter Balloons as he teaches kids how to make their own mini Alien Balloon. If you’re a Toy Story fan, you won’t want to miss it! 👽 We’ll also be making plenty of aliens to help get downtown ready for SeptemberFest!
Here’s how you can give back throughout the month:
🍺 Ten Mile Creek Brewery: $1 from every b**r sold on Sunday evenings
🧘 Loft Helena : $2 from every registration for Downdogs and Draughts every Sunday
🚗 Gills Point S Tire & Auto : $150 donation from each Helena location
🎈 Sauter Balloons: 20% of pre-ordered birthday balloons during October will be donated
Support local. Give back. Craft A Better Community.
