We're making some great progress on this home repair project!

Before we got started, we took some time to sit down with our PVC (Precision Volunteer Corps) crew to discuss an upcoming project and gather their thoughts and feedback. One of the things that makes this group so special is the wealth of knowledge, experience, and perspective they bring to the table. Their input helps us make better decisions and strengthens the work we do throughout the community.

After the discussion, it was time to get back to work on the repair project. Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, we're making steady progress and moving one step closer to completing another project that will make a meaningful difference for a local homeowner.

A huge thank you to our PVC crew for not only the hard work they put in each week, but also for the ideas, wisdom, and guidance they continue to share. We truly value your opinions and appreciate everything you do for Helena Area Habitat for Humanity!

Last week we were joined by friends, family, supporters, and representatives from Montana's congressional delegation to celebrate three families as they crossed the threshold into homes they helped build with their own hands.

These families didn't just receive a home. They partnered with Helena Habitat to earn the opportunity for affordable homeownership. Through Habitat's Mutual Self-Help program, they worked side-by-side for months, helping build not only their own homes, but the homes of their neighbors. Along the way, they completed homebuyer education, qualified for a mortgage, and invested hundreds of hours of sweat equity to make homeownership possible.

Moments like these remind us why this work matters. Homeownership creates a foundation for children to grow, for families to plan for the future, and for generations to build stability and opportunity.

Thank you to the volunteers, donors, community partners, and everyone who helped make this milestone possible. Because of you, three more families have achieved the dream of affordable homeownership.

And congratulations to our newest Habitat homeowners! We can't wait to see all the memories you'll make in the years ahead.

We've been busy working on several repair projects lately, helping homeowners with important repairs that make their homes safer and more accessible.

Today, we wrapped up work on a porch and ramp project, and it's always rewarding to see a finished project that will make such a meaningful difference for a homeowner. Accessibility repairs like these help individuals maintain their independence and safely remain in their homes.

We're also getting started on a siding project, so the PVC crew has been staying hard at work. These projects may look small from the outside, but they have a huge impact on the families and homeowners we serve.

A big thank you to all the volunteers, staff, and supporters who continue to make this work possible. Every hour volunteered and every helping hand truly makes a difference in our community.

While SponCon was happening at the Helena Habitat Restore on Saturday, we also had the wonderful team from Growing Friends of Helena out at the build site helping make these houses feel even more like a home.

Together with the homeowners, they planted six trees in front of the three homes we've been working on and shared valuable guidance on how to care for them and help them thrive for years to come.

Moments like these are a reminder that building a home is about more than just walls and a roof-it's about creating a place where families can grow, put down roots, and build lasting memories.

Update! We have postponed the auction due to weather - stay tuned!!!

It was an epic day at the Helena Habitat Restore as we hosted SponCon! Teams worked for 7 hours to build something new out of upcycled materials. All items will be auctioned off on May 30 at the Helena Farmers' Market, with proceeds benefiting Helena Area Habitat for Humanity and the Rotary Club of Helena, Montana. Congratulations to Helena College for winning the second year in a row!

Proving that a little rain won't stop community spirit, SponCon teams are out at the Helena Habitat Restore today, turning upcycled materials into creative, functional, and wildly imaginative builds!

We can't wait to see the finished creations as they come together throughout the day!
