Chartiers Valley School District
Act 1 Referendum
Special Election Question
Shall the Chartiers Valley School District increase its real estate property tax by an additional 1.0 mill above its Act 1 Index and permitted exceptions to increase school safety to include additional security staff, counselors, psychologists, assistant principals and equipment, to include additional security cameras, metal detectors, building door access and electronic gates?

This question will be on the May ballot.

Please be aware that if you live in the Chartiers Valley School District this question will be on the May ballot.

If you want to pay this additonal tax, vote YES.
If you do not want to pay this additional tax, vote NO.

Please know that the School Board did vote to increase school taxes in 2018. This tax is above the 1.0 mill allowed by state law.
