Join us Wednesday, June 3rd at 8am in the Hearts of Cleburne building in downtown Heflin for our monthly meeting. We will hear from Dr. Carol Lucy, Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at Jacksonville State University. Dr. Lucy effectively created the entrepreneurship program at JSU and secured $350,000 in funding from Regions Bank to ensure its long-term sustainability. In recent years, JSU has hosted six business plan pitch competitions and recently qualified to compete in the Hult National qualifier competition, placing it in the top 10% of programs in the world. Dr. Lucy will be talking about entrepreneurial opportunities in our region and how entrepreneurship education fits with other business development activities to grow the local economy.

Artificial Intelligence is everywhere right now, but most small business owners are still asking the same question.
How do I actually use it in my business?
On Monday, March 23rd, Heflin Main Street, Cleburne County Chamber of Commerce, the Cleburne County Economic Development, are hosting a practical AI workshop designed specifically for small businesses and nonprofits.
The workshop is presented by Brightspeed Fiber Internet and led by marketing consultant Lindsay Schumacher.
During the session we will walk through simple ways tools like ChatGPT can help with everyday marketing tasks like social media content, website copy, Google Business visibility, marketing calendars, and customer communication.
Dinner begins at 5:00 PM, presented by Carillon Oaks Heflin, followed by the workshop from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.
Cost is $25 per person and includes dinner.
Participants will also receive AI Starter Resources with prompts and examples they can begin using immediately in their business.
