Over the past six months, I have been humbled by the incredible support so many of you have shown, whether in the grocery store, at a restaurant, on the side of the road, through texts, comments, messages, hosting a meet and greet, or by placing a sign in your yard. The conversations, encouragement, confidence, and even the concerns you have shared have left a lasting impression on me. Every meet-and-greet has been inspiring, and I am grateful for the thoughtful questions and meaningful discussions about the future of our community.

I want to sincerely thank each of you for taking the time to talk with me about the issues that matter most and for sharing your ideas on how we can work together to address them.

I have a deep desire to serve as your Sheriff. I care deeply about public safety, our community, and the rights and freedoms we cherish. I will always defend and uphold the constitutional rights we enjoy and the values that make Wasatch County such a special place to call home.

If elected, I will lead with integrity, accountability, and transparency. I will listen, remain accessible, and work every day to earn your trust.

As we approach the primary election, I respectfully ask for your vote and your continued support. It would be an honor to serve as your Sheriff and to work alongside you to keep Wasatch County safe, strong, and prepared for the future.

Thank you for your friendship, your encouragement, and your belief in me. I am truly grateful.

Throughout my career, I have learned that leadership is not about titles or authority. It is about serving others, building relationships, and bringing people together to solve problems.

During the 2024 Yellow Lake Fire, I served as the Liaison Officer on the incident management team and worked with multiple counties, agencies, landowners, and community partners to coordinate communication, road closures, and evacuation efforts during a rapidly advancing wildfire. As conditions changed quickly, collaboration and clear communication were critical to helping protect lives, property, and the communities in the fire's path.

During the 2023 floods, I worked alongside local, state, and federal partners to support response and recovery efforts. Whether it was coordinating resources, facilitating recovery efforts, filling and distributing sandbags, or helping residents protect their homes and property, I was proud to work alongside many dedicated people who came together to help our community.

Both experiences reinforced what I have always believed: the best leaders put people first. They are present, listen, support others, and work alongside their teams to overcome challenges.

I am grateful for the opportunity to serve this community and for the many people who have taught me that leadership is not about being in charge. It is about serving others. This is how I will lead as your sheriff.

I want to sincerely thank Eric for his willingness to serve and for the support he has shown throughout this campaign. I know his decision to withdraw was not an easy one, and I am deeply grateful for his endorsement and the confidence he has placed in me.

Running for public office means stepping forward to serve others, and I have great respect for anyone willing to make that commitment to our community.

I remain committed to providing steady leadership built on transparency, accountability, integrity, and service. My goal is to serve the citizens of Wasatch County with professionalism, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to public safety.

Thank you to everyone who has placed their trust in me. I look forward to continuing to earn your support and working alongside you to serve the people of Wasatch County.

One of my priorities as your next Wasatch County Sheriff is rebuilding and strengthening relationships with our neighboring law enforcement agencies and cities within Wasatch County.

Crime, emergencies, search and rescue operations, wildfires, and other critical incidents don't stop at county lines. When agencies communicate well and work together, they can respond more quickly, share resources efficiently, and better serve the people who depend on them.

I will work to strengthen partnerships with Heber City Police Department, the cities within Wasatch County, Summit County, Duchesne County, Utah County, and our state and federal partners. Strong relationships between agencies mean better coordination during emergencies, improved officer safety, and a more effective response when our citizens need help most.
Public safety is not about competing jurisdictions. It's about collaboration, professionalism, and putting the needs of our community first.

As Sheriff, I will focus on building trust, improving communication, and creating partnerships that make Wasatch County safer for everyone.

Republican mail-in ballots are coming out soon, and I would love your support.

I have spent 25 years serving Wasatch County, and I am ready to bring positive change to our Sheriff's Office. Better transparency, stronger community relationships, and a workplace that retains and supports great deputies. That is what I am committed to bringing.

If you are a registered Republican, please mail or drop off your ballot by June 23rd. If you are not, I would appreciate you passing this along to friends, family, or neighbors who are. Every ballot truly makes a difference.

I need your vote and your help spreading the word. Together we can make this happen.

If you have any questions, come to the forum tomorrow, May 27th at 6:00 PM at Wasatch County Senior Citizen Center, watch the livestream on KPCW Facebook (below), or feel free to reach out by phone (435-503-2842) or message me here on Facebook. I wanted to invite anyone who would like to come help with my campaign on Saturday, May 30. We are going to spend the morning knocking ✊ doors 🚪 and handing out flyers around Wasatch County.

Our goal is to knock on 3,000 doors from 9:30 AM to noon. We will do a quick training at 9:30, split into groups, and go have some fun visiting with people in the community.

There is absolutely no pressure at all, but I would truly appreciate the help and would love to spend the morning with you. No experience needed. Just come hang out, help if you can, and enjoy the time together.

Thank you all for the support. It means a lot to me.

Please RSVP here if you are able to join us.

One thing that means a lot to me in this campaign is the support coming from people who have actually worked alongside the candidates for Sheriff over the years.

These are men and women with decades of law enforcement, emergency management, dispatch, and public safety experience. Many of them have worked with two, and in some cases all, of the candidates running for Sheriff. They know the profession. They know leadership. And they know what this job truly requires.

I’m humbled by their trust and support.

Former Wasatch County Sheriff Todd Bonner said I am a person of “integrity, experience, and steady leadership... Jeremy will listen to the concerns of the community and hold both himself and others accountable.”

Retired Lieutenant Brian Gardner shared that I have “consistently shown the experience, integrity, and dedication needed to serve our county well.”

Retired Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office veteran Dustin Lazenby said, “It’s time for a change and Jeremy is the person that can make that change.” He also shared that I am “honest to a fault” and that I will keep “the taxpayers in mind.”

Rae Davis, former admin. assistant at WCSO, stated, “His work ethic, integrity, and leadership are exactly what the sheriff’s office needs.”

Catherine Shepherd, retired 911 dispatcher, shared that I have shown “loyalty and dedication to Wasatch County and its citizens throughout his career” and that Wasatch County needs “a Sheriff with these qualities.”

These endorsements are not about politics. They are about experience, trust, accountability, and the future of the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office.

I encourage everyone to read through the endorsements and hear directly from those who have worked beside me throughout my career.
